  • Clearly these people who are complaining of Kenny Wayne being a cover have never bought an album of his original music. You think because someone plays the same that it makes them an imitator? Hello? football is always the same game, but you never call the next big quarterback an imitator of the last. Kenny had to pay his dues just like everyone else whose where hes at. I just wish all of these people would go watch a video other than voodoo child.

  • jeez why do we talk about "THE BEST", pro or con.... should be talking how GREAT all these guitarist are and arent we lucky to be able to listen to them. Thanks for the upload!

  • He must feel like crap considering he's been around so long yet John Mayer has surpassed him in the 'white blues player' category with the general public.

    Carcariden is 100% right too.

  • @TheConstruct ''White blues player'' category ? Is there a ''coloured blues category'' ?? Are you serious ? Dividing music by colour, what the heck do you know about music ?? LOL

  • @severon1976 I know more than you. You just don't like the fact I'm telling it like it is. Go away with your PC shit please.

  • @TheConstruct You know nothing, the shit you are talking about is floating in your brains.

  • @severon1976 You're STILL wrong and I STILL know more than you. I also see other posters are dissing your silly posts. Go figure.

  • @TheConstruct Because they've got the same ''stuff'' floating in their brains like you do.

  • @severon1976 Face the fact that you're defending an 'imitator' and nothing more. All these yrs and all he does is rip Hendrix or SRV. That's pretty sad.

  • @TheConstruct Hendrix and Stevie Ray got their stuff for free. Why can't Kenny have it for free? If you really understood what music was all about you wouldn't waste your time by trying to compare John Mayonaise to Kenny Wayne. Truth is, they're both great, but your statement about John surpassing him to the general public would be a lot more relevant if John was famous for something other than bubble gum pop recordings. Sorry.

  • @severon1976 Good chops...Zero imagination....he's not even blues - he's an SRV mimic....and you're kind of a spaz....

  • @carcariden Give me an answer, why does DOUBLE TROUBLE tour with him since he's so awful ???

  • @severon1976 Nostalgia maybe? They need the work? I reckon it's a pretty good paycheck... look, I'm done hatin on him - I'm sure he's a nice guy and all....just bloody boring and uninspired....and completely unoriginal....he's like an Elvis impersonator....

  • @carcariden Thanks, just wanted to know whats going on inside of your mind.

  • apparently YOU care dude...look at all these caps you hit me with....he's like a little kid playing with all the cool toys SRV left behind....he sounds so much like SRV that it's slightly rediculous...he's barely even improvising here....I've watched three different Voodoo Child's on here by him and they're all the same....he's a lazy, unimaginitive player....found a niche and he's milking it....

  • @carcariden You are wrong I don't, the CAPS are for emphasis. BB KING & BUDDY GUY are the TOP LIVING LEGENDS of BLUES. HENDRIX cancelled a show so he could see BUDDY GUY and since you disregard what both of them claim about KWS of being proud of him for keeping the BLUES alive i simply have no more words to say EXCEPT: Why does TOM SHANNON & CHRIS LAYTON tour with him ????? I repeat: WHY DOES DOUBLE TROUBLE TOUR with KWS ???

  • @severon1976 Why does DT tour with him you ask. Answe: To make money on PAST GLORIES.

  • this guy doesn't even approach SRV clonedom because you'd need actual stage presence and charisma for that....I love music and am hardly ever judgemental about an artist but this guy has somehow managed to take the SRV/Hendrix template and turn it into Muzak...he's not an artist - anyone can take a pen and trace over the Mona Lisa...and all that passive-aggressive strutting around the stage...wow - I can't believe how annoying this guy is...

  • @carcariden Too bad for you for saying these things, you simply are irrelevant with music and specifically with blues. TWO NIGHTS AGO KWS JUST PLAYED JIMI'S WHITE STRAT FROM WOODSTOCK WHICH WAS EVER SINCE UNPLAYED IN THE SEATTLE MUSEUM FOR 40 YEARS AND MANY YEARS BEFORE THAT B.B KING & BUDDY GUY HAVE RECOGNIZED AND PASSED THE TORCH VERBALLY TO KWS SO WHO THE FU*K CARES ABOUT YOUR JUDGEMENT ANYWAYS ???

  • plays fucking great ! who cares or knows anything. this guy rocks if cantb see that you obviuosly dont.

  • Is that jj Cale?

  • they need to turn down the stupid fucking organ

  • I saw KWS in Loveland Colorado a few weeks ago. What a totally kickass guitarist! For my money, the best guitarist in the world.

  • wow, he's really annoying to watch in this video... he has a "look at me play guitar" look the entire time, doesn't seem to be into the music at all :(

  • i really dont like him. hes not unique at all. just a cheap srv gimic. people say john mayer often trys to copy SRV. but i have a lot more repect for john mayer than this guy who litterly annoys the hell out of me. john mayer is unique and has his own music. this guy just annoys me

  • Mate, you are falling into contradictions, 4 months ago you said you respect what KWS is doing musically and now you say he annoys the hell out of you. I am doing you the favour to revise from ''For sure the best...'' to ''One of the best...'' but honestly dude, theres one thing you cant deny and no one can ever deny, ...HIS TALENT. And if they are ppl who deny that they are irrelevant with music. I just wish you are not one of them.

  • @SRVBASE we honor and respect SRV and his legacy, which most assuredly includes KWS. For goodness' sake, SRV gave KWS a guitar when he was a young boy. Talk about a living tribute and legacy? No, the blue-eyed blues don't get much better than this.

  • @SRVBASE I couldn't agree with you more....he's SRV minus the originality, minus the charisma, minus the fire, minus the constant state of epiphany....I could go on and on.... Peter Green in his prime would eat this little Stevie Ray Beiber fellow for breakfast....

  • unfortunately, that's what happens after you've played the same songs, night after night. It's quite hard to keep the songs fresh without changing the whole setlist. He's still one of my favorite guitarists, but I do know where you're coming from

  • i dont usually comment but i feel your statement "For sure the best guitarist of our time" was bold.

  • "For sure the best guitarist of our time". i seriously dont think so. im a huge SRV fan and admire what KWS is doing musically , but he is not for sure the best guitarist of our time, have you not herd joe bonamassa? he can run circles over KWS any day, thats just the ways it is. Joe Bonamassa and SRV are my favorite.

  • Totaly Agree!!!!

  • I'm sorry dude, i disagree. Bonamassa doesn't have the raw sound of Kenny, neither is that loud and BTW whats Bonamassa's connection with SRV ??? Lets not loose our mind completely here folks.

  • mate you obviously dont know much about joe. SRV was one of his biggest influence along side artists like danny gatton. i have seen numerous interviews with joe about how SRV is an influence (in one he is wearing a SRV hat!!) and how his style is so obvious in his playing (read his biography on spotify or wikipedia, they will tell you the same thing). lisen to you upset me baby, that is clearly influenced by the great SRV.

  • @severon1976 you guys should check out Davy Knowles

  • joe? easy, guy. kws is closer to being "best guitarist of our time", which he probably isnt, than joe is to running circles over kws. even joe will admit that.

  • Question fo you that were there July 31/2009...who was the first act on stage...there was only two of them, the drummer and the main man...I have forgotten his name but he was very good also

  • The drummer is from john mayers band in this video he is AWESOME !!!!

  • Was there at front of stage also...anyone remember the jint that was thrown up onto the stage from the audience...KWS and Noah both stepped back a little, looked at each other and then started laughing...it was pretty funny...it seemed like they wanted to pick that gagger up but couldn't do it in front of everybody

  • comment

  • Jimi would be proud

  • Great !!!!!!

  • Hey Sev, excellent..Thx bluesfanlenny for gettin this over.

  • I got Kenny's guitar pick :) Front Row is the best!!!!!!!!!!!!! NICE RECORDING - 10 mins! yay can watch this anytime. I have been a fan since I heard of him, will always be a fan of Mr. KWS

  • It's damn hard to make Hendrix look that easy..great clip x

  • Awesome footage! KWS/Noah Hunt are smokin' good! I've been a fan since the beginning! Their stage setup was a bit different with the drums to left. Thanx for sharing. =)

  • LONG LIVE MUSICAL SPIRIT OF JIMI HENDRIX. ***Thank you my friend!!!***
