Smokey ALREADY HAS A STAR on the WALK OF FAME. He got it 20 years ago. It's THE OTHER members of The MIRACLES that weren't honored until this year.

I could NEVER understand why so many people praise The Temptations & The Supremes , who ,in point of fact ,never wrote a SINGLE MAJOR HIT FOR ANYBODY , while THE MIRACLES , WHO WROTE & PRODUCED DOZENS of hits for themselves and numerous other artists , have had to wait 50 YEARS to get a star on the Walk of Fame... and have STILL NOT BEEN INDUCTED INTO THE ROCK &ROLL HALL OF FAME AS OF 2009. Hopefully , getting this star will force the RRHOF to PAY ATTENTION .

But, let me say that NOTHING is wrong with the Supremes and the Temptations. Their contributions are set in stone, in my humble opinion. I just want to see Smokey AND Norman Whitfield get their just due...it's been way too long for Smokey AND the talents of Whitfield-Strong. Me thinks Whitfield is in the RRHOF but he and Barrett Strong do not have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Shame.

@williamg2552 ,stop dogging the Tempts and Supremes, they get praise because they were great,they deserve it. Dont knock them for getting love, its not their fault the Miracles arent getting as praised as much, maybe it has something to do with the fact Smokey's name is in front of the group.The Tempts werent allowed to write for themselves. Otis did write Treat Her Like A Lady. The Tempts arranged their own vocals. Stop hating

@williamg2552 ,lots of artists have songwriters,there's nothing wrong with that. Eddie Kendircks co-wrote the Girls Alright With Me,and the Tempts did an album in 1976 called The Tempts Do The Tempts.And they have some great songs on there.One of those songs were released and it was a hit and same with the Power album, Otis wrote My Love Is True. Stop talking non-sense.
