These 2 guys bought the lion cub from Harrods in London UK and brought it up in their flat till it got obvious that he would outgrow their space so it was set up to free the lion back into the wild. 10 years later they set out to find him and this video was the result. Very Moving really..

After a year they decided to visit him, but many experts said that he would not notice them as his old friends, that it would be dangerous, if they came too near.

While you can't domesticate wild predators like lions, some people are willing to risk their own lives in order to experience a greater closeness to such animals. This Lion's name is Christian and he was raised by these two men. He had to be introduced to the wild once he was grown since he becaue too big to care for in these guys home. Just key in "Christian the Lion" and you'll see several video's about him. My favorite video of Christian and his owners is the one that plays the song "I'll Always Love You" by Whitney Hoouston and it is a very touching story.

@PoFFizdaMan It's a documentary about 2 guys who took in a lion cub and grew it up in the city of london/ lots of shit happens and one of those was releasing it into that area because it got to big or something like that.
anyway thats all i remember hope that helps u find it cos its a nice documentary.

@xamd404 thanks, yeah i know about the original documentary, but there's another video with this scene in the beginning and the most beautiful music, then it gets into some stuff about being connected to the earth and loving/respecting nature, etc. I think it's about Pantheism. I wish i could find it ;\

While you can't domesticate wild predators like lions, some people are willing to risk their own lives in order to experience a greater closeness to such animals. We might call them stupid for doing so, but if they fully understand the risks and feel like it's worth going ahead with, you have to respect their bravery.

@vincentkjones1 got that right ... they are wild animals and you do them no favor by humanizing them .... The grizzly bear guy was Timothy Treadwell, a moron who thought he could tame wild bears ... they ate him. Predators are hard wired to kill, you cant reverse that with "human" kindness.....

This Lion's name is Christian and he was raised by these two men. He had to be introduced to the wild once he was grown since he becaue too big to care for in these guys home. Just key in "Christian the Lion" and you'll see several video's about him. My favorite video of Christian and his owners is the one that plays the song "I'll Always Love You" by Whitney Hoouston and it is a very touching story.

i know it is in no way comparable because of the different breeds; but yet:
i had to give my 2 cats to my brother for 10months before being able to house them myself properly again.
their reaction was just that!
the day i came along with other persons to retrieve them, they just jumped on me,not the other 2 guys, covering me with head bumps and purring like mad.
cats DO have memory :D
