hey! thx for the comment. so, i have the same exact problem you are talking about. one thing that's very important is that you have good light (either shoot in daylight or have really bright indoor lighting). idk what you are editing with, but what I have been doing to my slow motion clips is adding a "brightness and contrast" effect. I basically just increase the contrast...and i may play with the brighness a little if it needs it. that's it though. let me know if u have other questions.

thanks so much man. well my camera films at 240fps...then i slow it down some more using a velocity envelope on sony vegas pro 8. i slow it down at its maximum to like 33% of the original (already in slo-mo at 240fps)

Cool. I have Vegas Pro 8 too, I can't seem to find anything like a velocity envelope. Is it an added plug-in? or does it come standard with Vegas? If so, where is it located? I want to try it out. Thanks man.

you should have it. click the video that you want to add envelope. then click insert at the top, video, then velocity...(or something like that..i'm not on my computer now). and then it puts this bar across the video...if u double click it, it creates these adjustable points (adjust percentage) i hope this helps. let me know if you are still having trouble

240 fps. its a feature on the sony hdr-hc3 called smooth slow record. other than that auto shutter, brightness etc. then i slowed it down even more with sony vegas using a velocity envelope.
