As far as I know, the sexes look alike. The male can be distinguished from the female in the field when seen mating - the male is on top.

@greenpalaka yeah. ..but for the Phillipine Ducks, its quite difficult to tell which is the male and which is the female......

@nikkitopacio Some folks says that male ducks has a distinguishing two to three small curled feathers near the tip of the tail.
