my understanding is she is singing in the navajo language. I think that language has been spoken for over 3,000 years (?), much longer than english has been spoken.

I am like 1/16 Aboriginal and I am not sure what language my people used to speak. They were blackfoot. Even though I am one of the most white washed Aboriginal people you will ever find, I still want to learn about my cultuer. SO if anyone knows what language is spoken please tell me. Thanks

even if this person has 1/100 Native in him thats enough that if he chooses to learn about his culture and religion of his ancestors and follow in their footsteps he has every right. The White folks made us dang near extinct. Take that ounce of blood and run with it if it is calling your heart. With as little participation as we get in our cultures and ceremonies these days He should feel welcomed and taken under the wing of an elder that is willing to show him the RED ROAD

Thanks for setting me straight! I was wrong in that. But I had just finished reading a report from Taino news service that was reporting on the Cherokees of Okla. not allowing blacks that are 50% native from being a member of the tribe anymore. However whites are still accepted into the tribe even if they have 1 drop (un/documented) of cherokee. I was curious as to why is that. Sorry for allowing my own issues come in the way of a truely gifted sister and tribal member.
