see here's the thing: I'm sure there are hockey fans in Phoenix, but obviously not nearly enough because of the situation. Mr. Bolick is completely right: The people who aren't hockey fans and have demonstrated that they aren't for 15 years should not be on the hook for supporting the team. If I were not a hockey fan, I certainly wouldn't want my money supporting something I don't use! that's insane!

I'm not going to rag on Winnipeg for not being able to bring in enough corporate dollars to keep the Coyotes 12yrs ago & how they expect things to be different now. What I am going to ask is does Goldwater keeping think if they tell lies & half truths enough that it become true? I applaud McMahon for not just being a puppet & challenging Bolick's answers that were flaky. I loved when Bolick said "even if 1 person disagrees with the deal we will fight for him." What about those who okay the deal?

Clearly he doesn't know even basic history of the Coyotes. He mentions the attendance barely in passing as a knock against Phoenicians without noting the Balsille case, housing crisis etc.

Bolick ignored the letter Goldwater wrote to the potential bond underwriters, essentially asking them to reduce the bond rating for the City of Glendale. That letter goes beyond any bounds of 'protecting the constitution'.

GWI has deep roots in the AZ good old boy network and at least one board member with a fairly serious conflict of interest in this case. My belief is that they will end up on the losing end of a large lawsuit because of their tortious interference.
