I suffer from sd for ten years now I am 27. Most people tell me that they can not tell. I spoke to Dr. Morton Cooper and he said that he could tell that have sd. He told me that he can help me but he retires soon. I do not have the money to go soon but I was reading that he is the only doctor that cures sd without surgery or botox. I am desperately searching for the best doctor to help me. I have been searching for a cure for my lost voice for a long time. What do you think?
I had SLAD surgery 3 mos. ago. People have commented on how much better I sound and it's still improving. I've been in contact with a number of people who had SLAD surgery. A couple had it over 10 years ago with SD symptoms not returning, indicating a permanent fix.
Hi, Congratulations! My husband just had surgery the first week of Nov. 2009 with Dr. Berke. He has no spasm and now waiting the three months hoping to get a higher voice.
I can't even really hear it when it wasnt a good voice. It sounds Great to me both ways. {shrugs}

I have SD and wonder what kind of surgery did you have and where?
I am currently doing voice therapy and it isn't working. Next will probably be Botox shots and I would prefer something more permanent if possible.
