  • So if I'm understanding this correctly, you only put a な after the adjective if it comes before the noun, but not if it comes after?

  • Doesn't desu also makes your sentence more polite?

  • おてんき means mood, doesn't it? てんき is weather.

  • what? because it's FUCKING freedom! deal with it.

  • 4:50 Jeremy is drunk. Haha

  • ano, sono, kono. I'm fucked.

  • Shit! It's actually staying in my brain :D

  • I was thaugh

Kono-something that i can reach out and touch

Sono- something i can hit by throwing something at it

    Ano - everything else

  • @LPOO1386 yeah he is basicly saying the same

  • I wish you would be shizaka

  • My wife said she thinks you seem like a very nice person....WTF!

  • @jess672005

he has to be, he took all this time to explain people Japanese. I think he rocks to

  • K so i just figured out a pretty easy way of remembering them, cause at first i was very confused about these, but basically anything ending in "i" is an i adjective EXCEPT words ending in "ei" which are na adjectives

  • pretty person like my wife LMAO!!! mada warattei ru :P

  • some of these he doesn't use wa. Is there a reason? Does na replace wa in sentances with na adjectives? Do you use na when you put the na adjective on the right of the word?

  • I may be mistaken, but shouldn't the sentence "kono hito dare desuka?" have "wa" after "hito"?

  • Love the secret message that Jeremy is drunk. Because he is.

  • Can you not have your face right in front of the fucking camera please? It's distracting.

  • haha this actually helped me alot xD

  • Not Rachel Ray Hot! Hahaha!

  • Not fuckin' Rachel Ray hot, like sahara desert hot xD

  • Why can't everything ever be taught like this?!

  • @MEGALAWLABLE Because school has to be boring.

  • you fucking mashurumu head lmfao

  • So basically, for I adjectives, you don't have to put a marker after it, but with na ones you have to add na after it? Also, can both be placed before or after the noun?

  • "Like my fuckin' wife!"

  • This lesson was intense.

  • oh my god this guy is amazing :D

  • quick question, you said naze? but the question song is nande, and i hear that in most of the anime i watch o.o

  • @XXEMOsxrxhottXX naze, nande and doishite are all the same. It all means why. :)

  • @LyChii03 Actually no. Naze means litreally why. But nande is formed of nani+de. Now if you knew particles you'd know what 'de' is used for. Nande can mean a fucking lot of things, depends on context, use internet. Doushite is close. Dou means how, shite comes from suru (to do), it is again a word made of two combined words. But they don't mean why. It depends ont he context, you can bend translations to better fit the meaning.

And yes, I reply to a message 1 month old cause I'm that badass.

  • lol "you think im a fuckin puss for showing you that (shows middle finger ) well fuck you" lol i love this guy (no homo for the gay asses who thinking wrong"

  • Tbh this dude is hailirious and drunk but he does a good job teaching

  • The Angry Japanese sensei show

  • Holy fuck

I tried to do everything before this at once

    My brain melted.

  • Question Sensei;

When you say in your example: "Ii Otenki desu."

You could say it as "Ii Otenki wa desu." right?

When is wa really important to use?

  • @MercenaryZack

No, "ii otenki wa desu" is grammatically wrong. Desu can not be put after wa.

  • @RisingSun011

Ah I see, thank you :D

Or shall I rather say, Doumo Arigato Mr. Robato? xD

  • @MercenaryZack How the hell did you know I was a robot???? Dare ga kimi ni tsutaeta ka

  • @MercenaryZack How the hell did you know I was a robot???? Dare ga kimi ni tsutaeta ka

  • you for real

  • This fuckin shit is helping you stupid bitch!!!

  • HAHAHA.. FUCK.. FUCK.. FUCK.. keep on fucking..

  • I noticed that a lot of the time the last vowel doesn't get pronounced. like desu is des, but i have heard it a few times before. is it ok to say it or is there a reason behind this?

  • @Sasquatchsixtwo Omission of "u" is something found particularly in the Tokyo-dialect, whereas speakers of another dialect would have a clearer pronounciation of the "u", and this guy has probably learned something resembling tokyo-dialect.

  • it's not an english lesson!! "" LOL

  • Why don't you put 'wa' to define the topic in your 'weather' sentences?

  • I love your videos, BITCH.

  • by the way... It's arigatou, not arigato. Arigatō is in romaji, but when made back to kana, there's a rule: the ō turns into ou おう. It's arigatou, not arigato. ou is held longer, so the whole word isn't pronounced quickly. It's ariga(fast) tou (say it in .25-.50 seconds length, accented).

  • @PawsRawr

You can actually say arigatou as arigato if you want, or even arigatto, depending on how you want to sound, there are different tonations in every language, but if you're going to spell it any other way than 'arigatou', you should write it in katakana for emphasis (it's like italics)

  • I can't believe that I actually am going to try to learn japanese off of this.

  • @alexllorrac its oddly good right?

  • @Jzend001 yes Im actually writing all of this in my note book and I am remembering it. I made flash cards and Im not really messing up.

  • @alexllorrac The funniest part is that he explains shit better and has a more memorable and dynamic teaching technique than a lot of so-called "professional" Japanese instructors I've come across. I'm seriously learning more from him than I did from my college professor, which makes me glad I dropped the course after a month of his shitty teaching and picked up Nama-sensei instead.

  • There are to many fucks in this. I wished there were more shits, craps, faggs and cunts in this.

  • "it's not what some fuckin' teacher thinks of you, that's for damn sure"

    he's my hero

  • The shit just hit the fan, Sensei... I'll study as hard as I can; I promise!

  • neko-chan kawaiiiiiiiiiii

  • even though wa is a topic , it's still a a na adjective right?

  • @llFLYAWAYll

    は isn't an adjective... it's a particle

  • 私の愛犬は臭いです。。。

  • i adjectives never end in ei!!!!!

  • kono and sono= used for whatever THAT'S CLOSE

    ano= far away

    easy xD

  • kusai na sensei desu.

  • @UltraSaatana666

    あなたわばかですね

  • @dominicdit

    あなた「は」ばかですね。 =)

  • @mefidys

haha i always forget to do は instead of わ i guess i am the idiot<3

  • @mefidys A more natural way of saying you are stupid is replacing ha with ga. Using ga with adj is more natural. And if ur going to call someone stupid be mean about it.... KONO BAKA YARO!!

    btw kono also means you.

  • @RisingSun011

Yeah I know that. I was just saying は to correct dominicdit's use of わ

I thought kono means 'this' ... like us saying [look at] this stupid idiot.

    I don't know, maybe you're right :)

  • @mefidys Yep, は is pronounced wa. What you guys don't know, however, that there are 3 rules in japanese grammar. へ particle is pronounced e and yep, を is pronounced o, simply.

Kono means this, correct. sono means that. ano means that as well, but a farther distance.

Now, if you change the second letter (ko)(no) << this one into (ko)

you can get koko = here, soko = there, and ako = over there (farther).

  • @PawsRawr

Don't know about everyone else, but I knew that :) I've been learning Japanese for over a year now, I think I pretty much got the basics, I just love Nama Sensei's teaching meathods xD

  • THIS IS A BEASTGASM OF A LESSON, spread this FUCKING WORD, all rights reseverd from this one dude -IRR

  • I have to go to the bathroom, to shit, because I am drinking fine wine and, makes my stomache ache, but, I wanna stay and wach the rest of this fucking video

  • 2:02 @ Namasensei- I just learned today in Japanese class that you you turn "kirei" into a negative it becomes "Kirenai". If you say it is a na, but you negate it as an "i", is that possible? I think you might of gotten it wrong because my teacher called it an "i" adjective.

    Thanks :)

  • Ano = Anus in Spanish lol

  • @NocheeseSherlock LOL that's what I was thinking!

  • thx. you cool.xD. i like your cat.

  • OMG you have a wife?! xD

PS. Thanks for the lessons. =D

  • @miki5xD i think he teaches english too ;D

    coolest fucking teacher ever...BITCH.

  • @killerzombie092

    Agreed... BITCH. =D

  • also if an i adjective ends with ei it means it is a na adjective. as for ai, ii, ui, oi and i endings it is (probably) an i adjective though there are exceptions

  • shouldnt it be: kono hito wa dare desuka

    you fucking retard

  • Best teacher ever.

    Ron

  • hahahahahahhaqhsahshahahahaa ''it means - mushroom head stinks like SHIT!!!'' hahahahaha lol

  • So would "mushroom head is cute" be:

    かわいいマシュルム・ヘドです。

Or did I fuck that up? :S

  • @robinjam304 nearly- 'kawaii mushurumu.hedo desu' means 'a cute mushroom head', if you want to say mushroom head is cute say 'mushurumu.hedo wa kawaii desu', in english 'as for mushroom head, he is cute' ; )

  • @penisuganai Ah. Thanks for clarifying that.

"A cute mushroom head" sounds kinda funny though :P

  • @robinjam304 hehe its the best i could think of ; )

  • @robinjam304 yes its wrong.. Lol

  • now i get it...

it`s just like naruto... he says ttebayo at the end of his frases...

    namasensei uses bitch...

    it´s all so clear now...

  • @Virgilio1287 Haha, nice observation :P

  • ahhhhh...pretty kitty

  • he's so sexy and his personality is perfect! like such teachers. gosh he's sooooo hot esp when he says "wad's dat" !!!!! looooove him -kisses 5*

  • Wow, I didn't know this shit.

    Thanks!

  • The only thing I hate about this video is that he pronounces "des-u" instead of "des."

  • okay. so "desu" is pronounced like "des"? why is it that sometimes nama says it like "dehs" and other times he say it like "deh-soo"?

does it matter how one says it? and how do i know when to roll the "r" and when to not?

    does anyone know? thx.

  • usually the u in desu is more silent usually sounding like an accent over the s. as for rolling the r's im guessing u do it when ever the r is in the middle of the word like in sakura people will say the r like a d-l-r type sound

  • @thegayestgoth

Desu is always prenounced des. But later you can change it to like deshou wich you use when you are unsure of something.

Like ashita ha ii tenki deshou wich means like, i wonder if its good weather tomorrow. If you use "ka" / "no" at the end you are making it a question, but you think you know that by now.

Ps, otenki <- polite for of saying weather. Tenki without the "o" works just aswell.

  • these videos are seriously awesome! Like the style. :)

  • yeah rachel ray hot

  • you are fucking amazing.

  • whers ur hat?

  • I thought "this" was "kore".

  • kore = this

    sore = that

    ano = that over there

    koko = there (place)

    soko = there (place)

  • Is there any "are"?

  • are as in the form of to be ? as in you are ? then yes it is, it's the form of de arimasu, shorten desu for example anata wa ureshii desu anata = you wa indicates the topic ureshii = happy desu = to be you are happy desu or de arimasu = it is (pressent) de arimasu is not used usually, it's shortened. deshita or de arimashita = it was (past) de arimasen, or arimasen= it is not
  • No no no. I meant "are" as ah-reh. We've got kono, sono and ano. So we should also have kore, sore, and are.

Though you did not answer my question, you have provided me with valuable information, so thank you.

  • I'm afraid I don't understand

  • Um...okay. Like kono, sono and ano are used for places, as kore, sore and are (it's not the verb "to be"!) should be used for things. For instance: "Nandakoreha?" (What the hell is this?) / "Nandasoreha?" (What the hell is that?) / "Nandaareha?" (What the hell is that over there?)

    Right?

  • Oh I see, you meant are in japanese, not the form of to be in English, as in: "they are", and yes are means that.

    kore= this

    sore= that

    are= that over there

    ano= that over there

ano is mostly used to express a place, but it can also be used to express things in distance, but it depends on the context.

    so if I say

    are ano means, that there

if I say just ano, it means that or there, depending on context, and it also indicate a long distance, also (ha) in romaji is typed wa and using spaces.

  • Alright. I get it now. Thanks!

  • sure

  • foly cusk, if every teacher was this good id ace everything

  • thanks ur doing better on teaching me japanese better than anyone else. if i learn ill know 3 languages. the other 2 are english and spanish

  • Huh? Mr. Mushroomhead? O_o Aw, you're so adorable when saying: "Drink beer, you bitch." xD

  • WOA? you are married? so young looking and cute!!

  • i usually dont find these videos funny, but at about 9 minutes 55 that is funny lol .. Videos are helpful anyway

  • Comment removed

  • lol i love you YOU AWESOME MOTHER FUCKER!

  • i dont get it why do u have to put desu it doesnt make sence becuz "good weather it is"

some1 explain that to me cus im lost at dat part???

  • because Japanese grammar is "subject, then object, then verb". In english it's "subject, then verb, then object"

    example:

    English: Cats are ugly.

    japanese: Cats ugly are.

This is why Yoda from Star Wars says "it is" after saying something because for some reason he's japanese. lol. bitch

  • It is because, unlike English, the verb comes at the end of the sentence in Japanese.

So to translate you have to switch the sentence around.

    Good weather it is.

    It is good weather.

    Hope that helps.

  • omg u named ur cat mushroom head!? thats awesome!!!!! ^^

  • It was FUCKIN' INTERESTING bitch....

THANKS for teaching Japanese to my Boyfriend in FUCKIN' good WAY sitting next to me..

  • どもありがとなまさま

  • i agree

  • do na adjectives always come before a noun or could they go both ways like i adjectives? could I say

    おてんきしずかです instead of

     しずかなおてんきです

  • They can go both ways :) but when the adjective comes after the noun, you have to specify the topic, so ot would be

    おてんきはしずかです。

    しずかなおてんきです。

if you're wonder why there's a 'ha' over there, it's cuz the 'wa' particle is written by a hiragana は. And in some words ;p like こんにちは ^^

Now learn this.. MOTHERFUCKING CUNT !!

  • cool, thanks for clearing that up YOU BITCH!!!

  • Unless your 2... All Japanese know that wa is written as ha LOL Its not always easy to keep up with 70 year old Japanese people talking i ntheir kitchen... Esspecially when the Japanese you learned is from mainland and theirs is from a long time ago mixed with Guamanian and Spanish... And no, its not always clear, esspecially when its like I described above and they talk really fast...

  • "not fuckin rachel ray hot!" "fuckin, sahara desert hot".."bitch" ROFL xD

  • LMAO.

    Are you reading cue cards?

  • i doubt tht, i think hes just looking at the cams video monitor, at himself lol xD

  • if you think i'm a pus for showing you that... lol

  • the i adjective should always go after the noun. it does not ever go before a noun.

    so in your case:

sono hito wa kawaii would be the only way to say "that person is cute"

  • No you can put it before too.

  • oh really? how so. it would sound weird though right.

  • I dont think you can say a sentence like that, but you can say a i adj like Kawaii hito... But this makes the sentence about the cute person rather than explaining that the person IS cute. Like you can say Kawaii hito wa tanoshii. But if you wanna say that the person is cute and thats not already established you have to say Sono hito wa kawaii. If im just totally wrong you can punch me in the stomach =D

  • haha not need to do damadge dude^^ your totally right and it makes sence.

but do they really say "kawaii hito wa tanoshii??" lol sounds kinda awkward XO

  • Japanese culture is a very action based culture, usually things arnt described alot in detail, its obvious that the person is cute, so why say it. Half the time people dont even say the subject and this get confusing for people learning the language from english. I belive english makes people stupid lol You have to explain everything and say every detail. When I talk with my dads family and my grandpa and stuff, thats the most confusing part for me. "WHO did that?" "Where is WHAT???" lol

  • LOL!!! thats very true. my mom says that all the time. "huh? What did that? It did it where?" its like....(nevermind-.-)

    english language is pretty
