  • 1:41 is that Sgt Sideris?

    3:37 is that Sgt Simser?

  • In the CF during BMQ and BMOQ are recruits taught how to use sidearms such as pistols?

  • Im signing up for the rocky mountain rangers stationed out of Kamloops bc and i was wondering if i could request c9 support gunner like ive got the size to pack it and ammo 6'6 230lbs????

  • Maybe its just me but the guy on the C6 has his head down weird

  • So, if I were to join the reserves this summer (17 years of age), would I be doing weapons training like this during my BMQ?

  • @Kipperx34 No. SQ or DP1

  • @D1rtyDog What exactly is SQ and DP1?

  • SQ, secong part of basic. . .soldier qual, DP1 is ur first trade course, its a differnt course for all trades. . .armd recce, or infantry, of whatever its all differnt, i do recce, my dp1 was all g-wagons, radios, an cam/concealment

  • @Kipperx34 on your SQ straight after basic depending if on when you finish bmq

  • Damn... I miss the C6. Moving to the C7 was so boring after growing up on the FNC1.

    "Long burts... yeah!!" Nice.

  • HAH! I knew I recognized that range. Meaford...goddamn that was years ago

  • in bmq

  • Hey ... if i sign up for Combat engineering, do they use the grenade?

  • @POTismedicine - Yes. You will be trained on the use of grenades during SQ (The course this video is taken from).

  • @D1rtyDog is the c9a1 a variant?copy of the m249 saw? or is it completly different internals.

  • the c9, is jus a fuckin c9, no copy of anything, most internals of machine guns are very alike, if u can use one lmg, u can use almost all of them, same wit gpmg's

  • @POTismedicine jus so you know, if you deploy to the desert as an engineer, youll be pretty much just looking for hidden booby trap ieds all the time. not the job id want. medical or signal is the smart pick.

  • @POTismedicine well in BMQ they train everyone to use grenades and guns

  • @MrBryce47 No they don't. No grenades or machine guns in basic.

  • @D1rtyDog Just curious. If I was to go down to the recruiting agency today (may 22nd), how long would it take to start Basic training? I want to be doing the advanced training by september, ideally.

    Got any advice?

  • @Haseeebo It takes 13 weeks to do your BMQ, then 12 or 14 weeks depending on your Occupation, May even be longer. But from what I know, they only do the BMQ in sessions, like theres a BMQ session starting Augest 23rd, then I don't know when its next up. Like you just cant go apply, be called the next day, and in a month or week start your BMQ. It takes time to process your Medical and Physical, then if they accept you, you have to wait until its time to start your BMQ.

  • @pxdfover yeah I applied in May and they said it was too late for infantry because the spots are limited and competitive. I'm just going to have to try again next year, and I'll do it earlier!

  • @Haseeebo well good luck! i should do that too then, since i wanna go Infantry as well

  • @pxdfover Nice, and good luck to you too! Maybe one day we'll see each other on some base, and not even know it haha.

  • @Haseeebo Haha maybe : P

  • cool helmets! heh.

  • Do you have any video, or could you upload some of the C7 Rifle in use? I plan on joining the infantry in a couple years once I finish highschool and the website said that that the C7 was the primary weapon used.

  • @R4WRG4SM just search for the diemaco C7A1. That's their primary assault rifle (just like the dutch army). This vid is more about the army's supportive weapons (except for the grenades^^)

  • Not as loud as i thought it would be

  • On video or in real life? Video can't capture the magnitude of the noise. The C6 is pretty deafening, especially in an closed/urban enviroment. A C9 will deafen you pretty easily as well. Especially if you don't have any hearing protection and your head is anywhere near the muzzle.

  • @Vforceboy

when you watch videos of guns firing they wont be very loud

but when you actually fire a gun in real life it is really loud especially in an indoor range

i was shocked when i shot my first gun a 10mm glock

  • @Vforceboy Not as loud as you thought it would be? Video and real life is different pal. VERY different.

  • make sure theres no bunnies on that open field

  • im goin to meaford tomorrow with TSR

  • I miss the good old days in the canadian armed forces. Thanks guys for keeping our country free. I am greatful for my freedom

  • I notice alot of videos about the CF turn into big shit storms... Why?? Guess there's alot of idiots out there,

  • its just because the public doesnt understand how the army works and they make it way too conriversial so we like to keep the footage to a minimum

  • nice video. im 15 years old and this is my dream. my whole family origonates from the military. my dad is warrent longaphie.

  • there's no glory in war kid... think long and hard about your "dream"

  • Thats true dude.. my grandad was a conscript soldier in scottish army in korea, i want to do time in military for the experience, i feel like its where i should be after school, probably going to have to make a career out of it too since i'm shit at everything else.

  • Lol typical american you guys are so selfish and stupid you dont know shit until you ACTUALLY tried something... not read about on the internet??? you read too much wikipedia my freind, but i was just making my point you americans act like you know everything and have done everything tell me son when the fuck have you ever tried a C6? C7? C8? C9? and unless you made the weapon your the moron talking out your ass. i have better things than argue with a yank with the IQ lower than forrest gump's.

  • You should of just shut up like I said... Now there is no denying that you're a bonafide idiot. First of all, I'm quite obviously Canadian. Secondly, I'm in the military. My rank and qualifications are not your business, but be sure I have far more exprience with the CF family of small arms then yourself. canadaman66 is a QL5 qualified weapons tech in the CF and you dismiss him? You're the typical, loudmouth Canadian idiot on the the internet that embarasses the hell out of me.

  • Amen Brother.....you 2vp?

  • Nah man, Royal.

  • Please tell me you're not a member of my army??

  • Lol wtf are you guys talking about theres over 200 modifications to the C7 rifle and some of the huge ones are .... the trap door is farther back thus also using a different type of bolt you all act like i havn't done my research, i don't need it ive been taught this by warrents, sergents, RSO's and ive also fired them im not an idiot its a proven fact . they are also easier to field strip and have the best cold weather endurance tthan any other weapon?? your M16's would freeze up in -60 ya dig?

  • Buds, you are seriously out of your lane. We could sit here and pick apart your comments but this isn't a firearms forum. Anyone with half a brain could take one look at your posts and know instantly you are simply talking out of your ass. You're posts are borderline legible. Stop now before you appear anymore ridculous. Ya dig?

  • I just want to say that no... the C7 and the C8 may look simular to the M16 and M4on the outside but have a big diffence in the mechanics. for one the C7 and C8 their barrels are slightly longer and are heavier producing a better accurate weapon and both produce a higher RPM. The american M4 is shit compared to the C8.... it would be like comparing a M4 to an M16, the C8 is a smaller carbine version of the C7 meant for mostly for mechanized battalions its range is nearly the same.

  • Actually, there is very little difference in the basic mechanical operation between the C7/C8 and the M16/M4. I'm not going to bother posting the myriad of tiny differences that there actually is, especially between the various variants, because this is not the forum for it. Look it up... Especially before you start spouting off incorrect facts like you're the professor of small arms. There are small differences, but they both have their advantages and disavantages.

  • i have to agree with d1rtydog on this one and i am a QL5 weapons tech. and im going to say now you my RustyShanker are wrong i can go into the various detais however like d1rtydog said its not a forum so do some research next time.

  • i hate how the army can have machine guns but i cant, oh well, i can still easily get one with a phone call

  • Ya, you know people? I guess you're kind of a big deal, eh?

  • lol. ppl is an exageration, just one person, but i wouldn't buy anything illicit because i don't want to get arrested or anything

  • are their any significant differences between the american m249 SAW and the c9 LMG?

  • canadian military guns are just very close copies of aamerican guns, i think its C7 and C8 is M16, C6 is SAW, and the C9 looks like something tha ti forget, but an american military gun

  • c7a1 and c7a2 = m16. c9= m249

  • Lol you don't know anything :P.

  • The CF's guns are the same, but with lots of modifications. Like the c7(m16) has over 200 modifications to it. Biggest one is the optics scope.

  • love the C9 :D shot it on my SQ in Gagetown 2 days ago

  • was that gun jamming?

  • SD&G Highlanders Cornwall Ont

  • this shit is COOL - what sucks is I failed the physical back in 83 - wanted to make a military career - see exotic lands and kill the enemy

  • thoze fuggin' gunz gave me a hard on when i waz in meaford!!!

    SQ/BIQ Baby!!!

  • lol

  • i dont like the C6, we've been training with it for the past week. But i fuckin love the C9! to bad i dont get to be one of the support gunners in my section, im the Assult team, lol

  • ?what regiment are you with?

  • Argyll and sutherland highlanders of canada, Hamilton ontario

  • A Coy!!!

  • Yeah, but the most annoying thing during BIQ is doing a forced march or wood patrol with your rucksack and a carl gustav rocket launcher....so painfull 0.0

  • That's called "being a soldier".

  • hahaha ... nerds .!

  • i was taught to say "sonofabitch" for short bursts and "motherfuckingsonofabitch" for long bursts.

  • Hahahahaha!

  • haha man same here

  • Same dude

My Sgt was screaming out the FUCKING CAPTION IS COMING, SHOT THE MOTHER FUCKER!

  • damn, cant wait to go to Meafod

  • thats how we where shown on my SQ...

  • when my course did the c9 shoot, we set that field on fire. it was awesome

  • Doesn't Number 2 close the feed cover after he put the round on the feed tray???

  • No.

  • looks like fun

  • is this Meaford?

  • Those C9 drills were weak. Fun stuff, though.

  • lol im just a wanabe soldier

  • Man i loved shooting the c6!!!!

  • The instructor in the back ground sounds like one of my Master Corporals........

  • i kinda miss those days

  • long bursts, YEAH :D

  • Meaford. Don't miss that place in the least.

  • Um I'm pretty sure DND doesn't approve man, in fact they warned us about this shit, like not putting it on youtube.

  • stupid shit they do not approve of you can post certain things but not all things. they have people looking at this stuff as well as facebook if they do not approve it wouldn't be on still

  • True, I only said this cause I was told to remove certain photos from fb and was trying to pass the warning on, c9 was lots o fun to fire.

  • is this what you do in SQ?( Solider Qualification)

  • Where was this filmed? Maybe all grenade bays look the same, but it looks like the one in Shilo, MB

  • Looks nothing like the one in Shilo lol

That one I spent some time in lol

    ~Thanato

  • haha, it's been a few years for me. Are you in E.W.?

  • Nope.

    ~Thanato

  • "general purpose machine gun"

love that name, its like comparing it to blech or something.

"takes care of every nation's problems

    Holy worroirs to political rebels"

i'm wait for the goverment to hire barry scot

  • holy-terrorist:> attack police montreal

    terrorist,miniville,fr (blog)

  • i didnt know canada had an army

  • Every nation on earth has some sort of military or defense force except Costa Rica.

  • what about japan

  • Like I said, some sort of military or DEFENSE FORCE. I know they had a brief and small participation in Iraq, I think it was just reconstruction. I do know for a fact that they left the country a few years ago without firing a single shot.

  • The wooden stock is more durable and sensible for the GPMG, lots of places use diff designations than the united states, IE m95=m16=C7=AR-16 (basically) But they are also all manufactured by diff companies, from armalite to colt to Diemaco etc etc

  • i dont understand with C7. lol i holded the m16 and they were saying ike this is called the m16 or c7? i had never heard of a m16 being called c7 before

  • Alot of armies have the same weapons, but they have different designations. The U.S. Army designatet their main rifle the M16, the Canadian Army calls it the C7

  • the us army almost alwase "renames" their weapons with an "m" than a #

the canadian army "renames" their weapons with a "c" than a #

  • Those are some short bursts with the C6. Don't even have time to say "son of a bitch"

  • I think the C6 is great. If only it had a pictanny/weaver sight rail and foregrip rail, and a black stock and the C6 would be the baddest looking most effective GPMG on the battlefield.

  • What the hell would you want a foregrip rail on a GPMG for anyways?

  • :D i just got back from my C9/C6/C13 week. Damn you guys fire slow....and yea the C9 stoppage drill was slow. but otherwise nice vid man :)

  • cool video were you filming it?

  • Parts of it. Instructor filmed C6 portion.

  • wow je savait pas que la C9 jammait autant que ça lol

  • What no Tracers ?!!

  • Every 5th round... they're just hard to see.

  • they could be dim tracers.

which are so dimly lit they are designed for night vision

although it would be pretty pointless to have it in daylight.

  • goddamn they sound drunk

  • Funny how at 5:27 the C6 sounds different...

  • Thumb over the mic of the camera.

  • Ahh I see.

  • is it Meaford????

  • the C7 is just a training weapon. our real war gun is the C8 its basically an M4. we mod the shit out of the C8's too.

  • Is this what they told you in Cadets? There are plenty of C7s in theatre. And who exactly mods the shit out of C8s?

  • D1rtyDog,

I'm in Cadets and even I know that the C7's are used in theatre, this guys just a tool who thinks he knows everything.

  • hahahahaha cadets......fuck

  • for one thing the C7 is not a gun it's a rifle, and yes thier are plently of C7 overseas they the C7A2 do somewhat look like C8's cept that they are longer

  • The C7A2 has the butt stock of a C8 but the barrel of a C7. Currently used extensively in theatre. Who wouldn't want a collapsable stock but the range of a regular C7?

  • ahhh...MUDford...

  • HAHAH! old us stuff what else?!!! I ve seen your m60 and its not the same weapon quite similar but not the same so get in the army become a soldier and then pretend to know something about these guns bastard.

  • One two three,,,one two three,,!!!!!!

  • its sweddish u ignorant faggot

  • unless sweden has changed their flag, and uniforms to look like a canadians, these are canadian soldiers numb nuts

  • I think he means that the GPMG is manufacture in sweden. There is a rumour that a new lighter version is coming out, but I don´t know.

  • i'm pretty sure they license them out cos the british have them and they were built by royal ordanance.

  • good video, it differs from the usual reservist and french army shit on youtube.

  • its funny, i have videos of my C6, and C9 live fire in meaford too...didnt know the range looked like that though, we couldnt see past 100m in the blizzard lol

  • Is that so professor? Enlighten me with your great wisdom and expreience please...

  • You really have no clue do you? Old U.S. stuff? You should stop now before you embarass yourself further.

  • are you retarded or just dumb our c7 is a better all atround gun then the french famas

  • The C7 is Canadian and is made in ontario so most of our kit is canadian if not all and the stuf we got from other countrys are great ie the leopard tank

  • arrghh meaford

  • o exercito portugues é mto melhor

  • was this during march break?

and reserves or full time cf

  • It was a reg force SQ course run in March 2006.

  • cool

  • ils tirent sur quoi ?

  • PROYD TO BE CANADIAN!!!

  • ahahahah you guys probably still have a cornflakes badge on our beret for keeping a count like that...unless u r reserve :OP

  • Hahahaha The squad leader seems to be enjoying him self.

    04:23

  • w don't have squads in Canada

  • I had a SAW back an Iraq...sure kicked ass

  • c6 is such a beast

  • I wonder what Canadians do to practice desert combat? I know they are more than ready for cold weather.

  • there is a desert in western canada

  • well we go to shilo manitoba or whainright.

  • .... or texas, california, or new mexico. Our training isn't limited to Canada....

  • Fired one at Borden back in 92 it was so cool

  • cant wait im signing in decembre :P

  • ya LOL i was one of them i also used a reg m16 tho and the m249 jammed one time when i used it

  • the c9 lmg suks u see how it jams the M249 SAW is better

  • Heh. Well seeing as the C9 and the SAW are essentially the exact same weapons, your comment makes little sense. These particular C9's are tired, old weapons used for training only as opposed to the M249 I know a certain Marine carried around in Iraq that had such a worn sear he couldn't carry it at the ready for fear of it going off. You won't find too many C9s on operations in that condition. Thanks for the insight however.......

  • Its the same weapon, the mechanism is exactly the same only barrel lenght, stock, and accessories are differ. So SAW is not better than C9 is the same F.N. Herstal belgian design, not US by the way.

  • looks fun

  • Good work guys. Thanks for fighting the good fight. Many memories.

  • fucknig hell lol its a good video lol but the guy doing the target n wot not makes me laught lol yea yea!! YEA YEA YEA raise the back slightly YEA YEA lol

  • I fired 440(bullets) of c6

    It's nice. héhé

  • kool but nid music

  • i donte know this gun. the c6. but it looks to me that the gas setting is wrong or the gas regulator is dirty .watch the cocking handle. sometiimes it sits at the safety sear

  • yeah if the operator brings back the cocking handle fully it stays in this position while firing and does not move with the moving parts. Its safer this way.

  • refer to "Mounted Live Fire" by the Ont R's.

  • somebody really needs to start ripping 15 - 20 round bursts. Its the only way to go :D
