@daytona2134 well not a stock c5 lol I mean im a big corvette guy but I love to toot my own horn and flash my 4 ways after beating a corvette as well I have a 84 trans am with a 383stroker brodix 200cc heads 750cfm carb hooker headers built 700r4 trannys (that corvettes have ) with a 3.73 rear end and I easily put 460tq and 410hp for what you buy a c5 for and for what i can build a trans am for you wil smoke a c5 easily over and over again just #s yanno

@REGALBOY82 call spintech...I had them build me a set of custom 3" thick mufflers and ran hooker ceramic coated long tube headers and true dual exhaust using 3" oval nascar pipe and dumped it before the rear axles. Everythng tucked nicely under my 91 camaro RS which also had a 383. I did have to use a couple short sections of 3" stainless flex pipe from a diesel tuck shop to make the bends under the trans crossmember but the setup never rubbed or scrapped even with the eibach lowering springs

Sounds great man. Whats some of the specs on that build... nothin to over the top; every engine builder has a secret or two ;-). But what about compression? Type of heads; type of cam; and a few round about #s on the cam; @.050 duration- LSA; etc.

i have a 383 all forged, dart pro 1s, 630 solid roller comp cam ,1 3/4 headers, 11 to 1 comp ,single plane intake ,750 quick fuel carb, 3 inch X pipe pipes.....around 580 horsepower..not hard to get to 600 horse if you know the right set up for a motor

Sounds like someone was inflating the #'s. Sure it's got a cam...but 600 hp. Show me more than a wheel spin.

thats totally possible with nice parts. any good 383 can do 450-500 so its not much more to do 600. If a 400hp vette does 12 and a 500hp does 11s..well 10s at 600 it totally possible, completely depends on tires, drivetrain, rear end, etc.

I agree with lazylongboarder. That car should run a hell of a lot faster than a 10.70 with a 600hp motor. 450-500 is a lot out of a street driven n/a 383. 600 would be a lot more radical than that. And, I dont see a cage like the info box stated. So, what track lets you run 10.70's with no cage? Cool car though. It does a mean burnout.
