i got a question for all you laryngetomys is there any of you who use a artificial larynx to speak ??? i am not a laryngetomy but i want to make some new friends who have had a laryngetomy all i want is your friendship i have some friends who are laryngetomys and i just want to help people understand that it is not their fault!!!!!!

How nicely done! I've been a laryngectomee for little over 14 years..I was amazed at the accent, So guess I still do have my Texasan sound. ha...Good to show new larynectomees..Thanks for making and posting. Betty

Good job! The three major speech methods were very well done. The people looked happy and sounded wonderfully adjusted. I wish I could meet you all. I've been a lary for almost 17 years and have worked hard for rehabilitation and we will be referring members to YouTube to see this. I live near the SE COAST but not the same one! I'm very intrigued by the setup that roger has. I have never heard a larengectomee sound like that before. I'm familiar with the electronic larynx and the esophageal puncture/stoma occlusion methods of the other interviewees but his sounds different. Does anyone know what kind of speech prosthesis he has? Is it just a variation of an esophageal puncture or is it something else?
