  • well done

  • awesome really work,.... thank you so much...

  • Even if that tricks is now obsolete, i still want to thank you for sharing such an inventive solution. YOU REALLY ROCK !

  • you can just use Manual mode and set up aperture to whatever you like and it won't change during filming.

why you have to do such trick??

  • @v0vee This video was made before Canon released the firmware to make the 5D Mark II video shoot in manual...it was only auto before then.

  • Very easy !

    Excellent tip. Thank you !

  • That'd be nice.

  • Maybe Pentax will bring out a firmware upgrade like Canon did to allow manual control?

  • Would this trick work with a Pentax K-7's video??? Hmmm :]

  • Yes, and polarising filters. Anything that stops light getting in without affecting the image.

  • Would neutral density filters achieve wider apertures?

  • Very neat Trick! I was looking desperately for some Manual Nikon Lenses and mounting them with EF to F Mount Adapter. This trick seems to save me plenty of Euros. Thank You.

Btw: check my shortfilm I did on the EOS5DMkii.

  • Just be careful when using lenses like the 70-200 L 2.8 IS...use the tripod mount on the lens to attach to the tripod and let the camera hang.

Don't add extra weight like the battery grip either...

  • Great video. Works like a charm. Have you had any trouble with heavy lenses staying mounted after the twist?
