before "retiring"from music abbadon made the cd album (i am) legion a truly awful cd of mainly electro metal!? lets face it he was never a great drummer, but he was a founder member of a great band, a band that founded an entire genre of music & how many bands have done that? the original members of venom fell apart after 1986 album calm before the storm & did not work together again untill the late 90's for the cd "cast in stone"& ive got to say abbadons drumming on that cd was top notch

Not true! Abbadon started a band called Kaos with a couple of guys called Mark and Jonaz, round about 2003. I have a three track demo they did, from when I had a chance to audition for the band. It was kind of industrial, with lots drum samples, and not very good to be honest.

If difference means improvement, then hail difference! The 3 albums with Dolan are pure gold compared to 'Possessed' and 'Calm Before The Storm' production- and musicwise. Mantas once said that the only 4 albums who actually cut it are 'Welcome To Hell', 'Black Metal', 'Prime Evil' and 'Resurrection'. I totally agree!

I think that this Venom line-up is great. I really do. They had a new found fire that was diminishing starting with At War With Satan, Dolan has a great evil voice, Mantas had good riffs, they had another guitarist, they had a new, more serious approach, and Abaddon's drumming was at its peak. Cronos kicks ass and should continue, but I hope this line-up reunites at some point the way Black Sabbath's Dio line-up does sometimes

I prefer the original line-up with Cronos, Mantas, and Abbadon. Cronos was the last of the members of the true Venom line up to join! Mantas and Abbadon were already playing together, Cronos joined on rhythmn guitar and when the bassist/vocalist left, Cronos switched and they became Venom.

Dolan is a better bassist, vocalist and frontman

steinberger guitars ( i think htats how its spelled) they were the first to make headless guitars. the tuniers were based at the very end of the guitar and was also the bridge. theyre said to make tuning stability much better than traditional tuners and other locking mechanisms, but most unique and ridiculous looking.
