  • Its weird to think about, but all the people in the audience in these pictures...had NO idea what they were witnessing. No idea. None.

  • The Savage Young Beatles was my family label "Savage records" 1965, 2 albums pressed, the Best of the Beatles, bm71. Now considering to re market, watch this channel for news in the coming months. New label as well to include another famous artist of the time

  • Pete Best dislike this.

  • That one disliker can fuck off...

  • For TheSilhouette09

    Lucky witness of Great Times!!! Altough I'm only 34 I' m a Beatles-maniac...

  • The Quarrymen backing Buddy Holly! Just a thought.

  • @CatherineGrayson118 totally agree....

  • when all the beatles die that'll be the day ah die

  • @ryandeakin5878 Okay what the hell is wrong with you.. you just search up this song to with death upon someone? Even when two members of the group are already dead? That's low man.

  • the day after this recording john's mother was hit by a car and died.

  • @azerty7889 holy crap your right ,he must have been so happy to record this ,then that happens

  • hmmm i think these kids got talent they could go somewhere someday keep practicing but i mean come on the chances are slim

  • I will consider myself and an "anti-hipster". I might arrogantly say "Oh, I listen to them even though it may be old school" instead of "I have been listening to them before they were cool"

  • I love it! Good music will never die!!!!!

  • i swear to god i was born in the wrong generation

  • I wish I was best friends with George and the same age as him so could have dated him!

  • it sounds like John Lennon singing back up for John Lennon

  • thanks for the video, a great collection of early photos!

  • I liked the Quarrymen before they were mainstream.

  • @DizzyMissRomi I'm sure you did, 19-year-old.

  • Jesus they look so young rofl :3

  • @Iunio92 please tell me you are joking?!

  • @ThePunkerica

    what are you talking about?

  • Oh my god! Johns vioce <3 Sooooo amazing~! I love the quarrymen and The Beatles~!

  • Well, it may shock you to find out that that the vanity record pressed by this group is worth something like £100,000 ($200,000 USD). Even more surprising, this world’s most expensive record is a single—and a cover of Buddy Holly’s “That’ll Be the Day.”

  • i have this song in my ipod

  • This was five months and one day before my dad was born.

  • 1:15 - who's the 4th dude? Colin ?

  • I wish I lived in the 60s

  • @TheSilhouette09 too right man

  • @TheSilhouette09 I did.

  • @TheSilhouette09 TBH although it seems like it was a quieter period (and the music was waaay better), it was probably balls terrifying to live through the 60's at certain points. Think about it, there was more political instability, and the world nearly exploded on at least three occasions, and that was just the 60's! xD

As odd as it may sound, I reckon that the world is a far better place today than it was in the late 20th century (as a would-be historian). Just go retro :D

  • @TheSilhouette09 Well, I did! In the late 60's I worked in London for AUA in Vigo Street, round the corner from their Apple Studio, Saville Row 3, where I witnessed their last live performance in '69 on the roof of the studio playing songs like 'Get back', etc. At least once a week I saw John and Yoko driving past in their white Mercedes. Or bumping into Paul when walking out of our offices. Never wanna miss this great time when I could be part of it all. LOVE AND PEACE TO YOU ALL! Dave

  • I'm 14 and I think nobody cares, is that right?

  • @Miss96Music I am also 14 and still no one cares! haha xd

  • @Scouslan 13 and still not caring

  • Thanks for this. JUst beautiful.

  • The Quarrymen are and awesome band , why did they change there name lol. I'm 15 and I enjoy them today. - Colin

  • @WahooBoyz I'm 18 and I don't really care about how old you are.

  • @Degafo2 im 12 and im with this guy

  • @Degafo2 and nobody cares if you care or not either about you or me either

  • @WahooBoyz They changed their name because they once read "They're true Beatles with an A."

  • @WahooBoyz Because they we're a different band they replaced the drummer for ringo thus forming the beatles.

  • Better than Buddy Holly's version!

  • @JammerZice Is it fuck !

  • A combination of great artists. :)

  • Is George playing the lead here? On an electric?

And all three of them played guitars at this time right?

  • Quarrymen, you don't know this yet but half of ya will be kicked out of the band and 3 will stay and 1 drummer will come in, and you four that stay will be a hit recording group in 1962-1970, named The Beatles. :)

  • Goosebumps.

  • 1:13 George looks so small and Paul so fat lol

  • @Ilovemyfender2 Oh my gosh they do. George looks like he's 14 or 15 lol.

  • i bet they wouldn't have even dreamed at the time of recording this song that it would become the world's number one sought after vinyl disc. maybe they would've made a little more than just a single copy...but i guess then it wouldn't be so rare, right?

  • The day when the face of music changed forever.

  • Is that Colin Hanton at 1:17? that's my guess.

  • John Lennon was a rock god--kneel at the grave of a legend. He influenced Kurt Cobain, another genius. So rock on into eternity John, we love you.

  • I know what you mean, dude. My friends don't like Lennon, and I get that. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions and we must respect those opinions. What I don't get is how they don't respect his legacy. Without Lennon, the Beatles, the Stones, and all those other great guys, we wouldn't have many of our other idols. Nirvana, Elton John, Miranda Cosgrove, Michael Jackson, Green Day, the Black Eyed Peas, and those are just a few! (Not that I listen to all of them, just saying.)

  • @ClassicRocker679

Michael Jackson, Green Day, the Black Eyed Peas have their own music. Yes John Lennon is inspirational but how could he have inspired The BEP? They are totally different genres.

  • @Mazza4Azza I'm not saying they ripped him off. Besides, D.M.C. (yes, from Run DMC) claims that John Lennon was one of his biggest influences, and he's Rap. Just because they're extremely different genres doesn't mean they can't be inspired by each other. As you see from this video, 50's Rock inspired the Beatles, but they did mostly either political or Psychedelic music. Many Heavy Metal groups claim bands like ABBA and Journey are huge influences on them, too. Peace.

  • @Mazza4Azza It doesn't matter, people inspire different genres of music

  • @PrimalStones

So Rihanna inspired Mumford and Sons?

  • @Mazza4Azza Don't be stupid. Blues created Rock & Roll, The Rolling Stones, Johnny Cash, The Clash were all inspired by Black soul, blues and R&B singers. You get it?

  • @PrimalStones

Yes definitely. I feel rock from the early 50's and late 40's inspired MANY artists. I'm grateful the Blues were born or I wouldn't have the privilidge to listen to Chuck B, Little R, Roy O,Buddy H and so on. I agree with that but I just can't grasp the thought that you said people inspire different genres of music. Yes, Blues and Rock are different genres but they have the same sequence. Blues couldn't have possibly inspired Lady Gaga

  • @Mazza4Azza I think it can, that's how different genres can be created

  • @glencoelad Oh please. Kurt Cobain....a genius? The 'genius club' should be exclusive to people who actually deserve to be in. The only reason why Kurt Cobain is really that famous is cause he died young.

  • @Suganthan1990 many musicians died young, eliott smith never got such fame, among other suicide/overdose fated. if you didn't yet realize how ahead of his time kurdt was, then you should reconsider and learn the influence of his greatness. if it wasn't for kurt;s innovative art, music and lifestyle, there wouldn't be any of the new punk/alternative/experimental bands. he was the reason good bands like jesus lizard, meat puppets and melvins ever got big. it seems that your knowledge is shallow.
