not all pitbulls are bad i work with all different kinds of dogs everyday and the only dogs ive been bit by are pitbulls, labs and dalmations.the labs will bite once and know they did something wrong & submit, the dalmations always bark and bite, the pit will bite not let go and if it does let go it comes right back at you with no submissive action at all. but i still work with pits but i am more careful about my actions around them and never let my guard down in an area with them.

pitbull were bred to fight your right, but.. a LONG time ago, they are actually one of the only breeds to have HUMAN aggression bred entirely out of them, i walk them at the humane society and they always greet me with a smiley happy face and a "wiggle butt". the only thing ive noticed that is aggressive is the way they pull on the leash! but when i sit down with them they are all gentle giants:)

I looked up a few different site including the AKC and yes pit bulls have been bred for fighting for hundred of years but they are only bred for fighting by dog fighters. Get a responsible breeder you get an awesome dog. Try looking up the AKC temperament test pit bulls rank right up there with labs and beagles. Don't be ignorant.

I'm getting sick of people accusing these dogs to be "monsters" and "killers" due to their lack of knowledge. Any dog can turn out to be dangerous! Heck, my neighbours kid was mauled by a golden lab four years ago! Don't blame the dog, blame the owners. The pitbull's bad reputation is a result of poor training and poor ownership.

All dog should be on a chain and controlled physically by the owner. The other way is in a fenced area. that fence should 3X the height that bread of dog can jump.

As an ACO i'll def say that I trust a PB before a chessie retriever even! Pits generally are great dogs. Theyre only problem is a bad name, high population in low-middle class society and an unfortunate spot on the news at the wrong time. All dogs are capable of doing damage. Its just little timmy that punched the pit in the face and got bit by a set of powerful jaws that makes the news. Its rarely the dogs fault. Again all dogs have equal damaging capabilities...they just have alot against them

not all pitbulls are bad i work with all different kinds of dogs everyday and the only dogs ive been bit by are pitbulls, labs and dalmations.the labs will bite once and know they did something wrong & submit, the dalmations always bark and bite, the pit will bite not let go and if it does let go it comes right back at you with no submissive action at all. but i still work with pits but i am more careful about my actions around them and never let my guard down in an area with them.

pitbull were bred to fight your right, but.. a LONG time ago, they are actually one of the only breeds to have HUMAN aggression bred entirely out of them, i walk them at the humane society and they always greet me with a smiley happy face and a "wiggle butt". the only thing ive noticed that is aggressive is the way they pull on the leash! but when i sit down with them they are all gentle giants:)
