@bobarabaske There are no lyrics. jonsi just makes up sounds to go with the music. His voice is like another instrument. Just make up the lyrics yourself if u want. Let the song mean what u want it to mean.

There are no lyrics.. They don't belive in lyrics, so he just makes sounds and gibberish that fits to the music, wich is genious when you think about it..

they believe in lyrics, they just don't always write them. some songs are in Icelandic, some are in what they call 'Vonlenska'. Which is a non-language they use. Syllabic, but non-linguistic, allowing the voice to be used as an instrument, but not narrative-dependent.

@bobarabaske They're in a language invented by the band, which is often referred to as "Hopelandic". The phonetics are similar to Icelandic, but it's a nonsense language. The point is supposed to be that you supply the meaning. They included a blank notebook in the album sleeve so listeners could fill in what they hear. :)

The Nothing Song is another name for it, but Njósnavélin means "The Spy Machine". The word for song is gi∂, and it isn't found in Njósnavélin.
