  • This is amazing. Insanely amazing.

  • Someone will steal that and use it for evio

  • thats probiby the best ive seen so far! thats the best human like arm where it has a working hand with all working fingers

  • Stupid lady said he got ELECTROCUTED...if so he would not be alive to try the robo-arms!!!

  • great video, but what's up with the sound in the Dean Kamen interview?!?

  • it's auto-mail, but real! :D i totally need to lose an arm and get this!

  • Hope they can make robot arm like a real arm. You know fast like a real arm and more :)

  • wow this is what I was looking for,

    but less fighting the empire,

and more fighting skynet instead (if you know what I mean)

  • it doesn't even shoot lasers? Waste of time...

  • Can i get like two extra added so i can be like goro in mortal kombat?

  • no, an extra 6 so you can be doc octopus.

  • LMAO

  • lol, at 4:40 when he says, "uh, like picking up a banana," I think he ment jerking off.

  • If I ever lost my hand and forearm, I'd get this because there are 2 things I look for in a bionic arm, Articulation and finger speed and this has both.

  • Good, but there's a lot of work to be done

  • Megaman is not to far away

  • they should work on the complete arm with biomechanical shoulder, so the guy could have both arms :)

  • Wow, you can't understand what Dean says at all. Why the low quality?

  • because you touch yourself at night.

  • it makes me happy to see things like this.. a man who has no arms and has never been able to use anything like an arm for 26 years finally gets his dream of doing simple tasks such as picking up a banana. you can tell hes happy

  • how about not sending soldiers to war?

  • I agree but war is not the only way to lose a limb.

  • Well they can't really send anyone else in battle, but I know what you mean, but some people lose limbs through other things, such as work accidents.

  • war sucks, and yes: it's a military research, but thanks to military research someday we will be able to build perfect biomechanical limbs. Military research has always boosted science and technology advances, everything has more than one side.

Of course, the ideal scenario would be that governments invested that amount of attention and money for the sake of science itself, and not war only.

  • good point!

  • Indeed. But If they used all the money now being used on weapons and ammunition, and spent it on similar research then I'm sure we would allready have that biomechanical arm ;)

  • @ciucinciu, yeah don't send the troops to illegal wars started over a lie and profited the war profiteers whom was behind the illegal wars.

  • well it has 18 degrees of freedom compared to a normal human arm that has 22.I'd say thats pretty damn close. Geez give credit where credit is due!

  • wow thats so cool maby soon we can build a limb that can mimic the other limb to 100%

  • Science fiction becomes science reality day by day...

  • We can rebuild him...we have the technology...

  • Brilliant!!

  • way better than nothing

  • It still doesn't have the control you get with a human arm, but the state of the art is improving.
