I can't believe I have to explain this. Tom looks in the shed and bathroom, then while he is walking back with the camera, the double gets in the shed. Tom moves over so that his double can crawl to the blanket,then moves back to the center. As he raises the blanket, the double switches places with him then moves to the bathroom hiding his face with the hat. Tom appears, checks the SHED first instead of the bathroom to allow the double to get out of the bathroom while his back is turned. Done

i got it after he shows the sun room he goes away with the camera and thats when a double goes in the sun room and at 1:27 u see he puts the blanket near it and when he brings it away the double comes with him and the double goes in the b room

no no no no no...... the one I have is a completely different method and it's by Andrew Mayne. The one you have, like you said is very old.

Here's the effect for mine:

A blanket lies flat on an empty stage (or yard). An assistant comes on stage and raises the blanket and immediately lowers it and the magician is now standing there.

This is from Andrew Mayne's Secret Illusion Show booklet. Google it ; )
