My son has a boxer. He's fairly old (over 13 yrs) but still bouncy as a puppy. I love to house-sit for him. He understands the word "laser" so we have to spell it out around him, lol. @kimmois1 I don't think it's wrong for them to laugh at the dog's natural antics. Especially only for a while. Dogs are all clowns to some extent, and boxers especially so. If the dog was becoming stressed by the block of wood and it seemed to genuinely think it was a threat to them, it would be the decent thing for them to go get it, put it away somewhere and then comfort the dog and distract it with some pleasant thing that it loves.
