  • lovely playing! thank you for posting

  • Arriving late to this discussion, I must ask -- 'What' 1st movement cadenza??

I can't imagine what you are referring to. Am I missing something here?

  • omg thats the biggest pair of hands ive ever seen

  • so true! he doesn't even flinch on the chords.

  • @lee4ivy lucky bastard! ive been trying to learn it for fun and im dead by the end of the cadenza

  • @bagdad4

I noticed that as well. He truly has a pair of gorilla paws. That said, I have never heard of him but this is a stellar performance of the Brahms Piano Concerto No. 2.

  • this concerto is brutally difficult..esp the first movement cadenza...this guy pulls it off pretty great..few years ago i watched Kissin play this..Katz comes very close to that...

  • terrific!..the real power of the movement comes from the cadenza!..this guy is brutal!....this concerto is deep and very difficult to excecute..

a few years ago I watched Kissin play this..of course he pulled it off ...I was dyint to hear some one close to that!..

  • @basky578 Kissin in Chicago was stellar on this Brahms,,,,,,,,

  • You can absolutely headbang to some parts of Brahms' piano concertos. The big, badass group of sequences starting around 7:20-25 is one of my favourite things in all of the music I've ever heard.

  • Then Schumann.

In violin The Best is Beethoven's. Then follows Bruch No. 1; Tchaikovsky, Brahms, Saint-Saëns and Mozart Sinfonía concertante for Violin and viola.

  • Then Schumann op. 54.

In violin concertos The best is the Beethoven's, then Bruch No. 1. Tchaikovsky, Brahms, Mendelsohnn, Saint Säens.

  • This is the best piano concerto among all. The others to follow are: Beethoven No.5; Beethoven No.4. Tchaikovsky No 2. Rachmaninov No. 2; Mozart No. 20.

  • Very good interpretation. The piano is too metalic and to loud fo my taste (but who am I to speak? i cannot play this!! wish I could :D)

  • Love this interpretation

  • fab.love the black shirts too.;)

  • Wow, that's my favourite piano concerto! Thanks for sharing this wonderful performance! :-)
