  • this is the best song ever

  • piiick itup piick itup

  • "Black Roses", by Barrington Levy, uses the riddim from "If This World Were Mine" by Dennis Brown. Dennis Brown's is far more rootsy, while Levy's is more modern (both absolutely incredible classic reggae tunes). Black Roses is about Mr. Levy growing a garden-full of his lovely prized ganja plants, and Dennis Brown's is about giving the world away from a god-like point of view. the Slightly Stoopid bros were probably huffing roses, and decided to write a song about if the world were theirs.

  • Mmm..this reminds me of Hawaii..I stayed with my friend there a year ago and the whole time we listened to this soundtrack..love it :)

  • This just might be my favorite slightly song

  • Yah its just if ths world were mine, they called it black roses to give it a diffrent name at first because its a dennis brown remix but then they just named it after his song so people would know, haha that and they give him a shoutout at the beginning

  • Two people don't know what good music is.

  • if anyone knows how to turn a crappy song into the best song ever its them

  • Slightly Stoopid is too good for the radio

  • @whiteowlonfire a good song also

  • bass line....

  • bass line be like this. best bass line ever.

  • If you like this look up Tu sheng peng by U Brown, its another older, cover for If this world were mine.

    Definitely my favorite cover.

  • and if this world were mine, i'd play a rub-a-dub all the time

  • rubba dub style by dennie brown. this is the acusic verson of that song

  • this song uses alot of lyrics from other songs.. haha but its a very good song... slightly stoopid is the shit...

  • omg ther jesus

  • good ass song but its called If This World Were Mine. It is the same bass line as Barrington Levy's Black Roses and Dennis Brown's Rub a Dub though

  • I was wondering why it was called Black Roses....thanks for clearing that up!

  • Do you know where to find their cover of Black Roses? My friend had it burned years ago but I can't find it.

  • Comment removed

  • Its on their live & direct acoustic cd

  • The actual cover of Barrington Levy's Black Roses? Its not on the track list and I'm pretty sure I've heard that CD in is entirety.

  • If this world were mine.
