@MysteryJZ Yes, sometimes. It can be hard on the jaw & neck muscles, but I take lots of breaks & its painted over several days so that helps too.

I am strictly a landscape painter. Anytime I try an animal, it comes out lookin like mickey mouse....I hates that danged mouse!

@VintageWines lol it can certainly be frustrating! I cheat a bit by carbon tracing the outline of the animal from a photo or drawing. It helps with keeping proportions correct. Check out my newest video of the Red Winged Blackbird for an example.

the horse is fantastic, and that vertical log looks really nice too...has a half rotten texture with rough hollowed rot sections. Very nice. Damn, now you are adding grass! Thats pretty sweet too. Nice high rez photo at the end for the finaly too.
