  • Das ist wirklich Weltmusik! Danke Shirley! Danke Bert!

    Eine der weltweit besten Interpretationen!

  • una stupenda cantante e magnifica interprete di innumerovoli canzoni...grazie a Judie per la condivisione....e complimenti per il video.....piero

  • It's shurn, Shirley pronounces this second part quite well but the pronounciation of Danke is better by Lee and Newton.

  • @Thorneycroft1937 So it is Danke "Shane", not Danke "Shurn"?

  • @44032 no it's not shane..

  • @Thorneycroft1937 So are Newton and lee pronoucning it correctly? I've ehard Germans use the phrase and it sounds a lot more like Bassey's pronounciation.

  • @44032 none of them is pronouncing it correctly, neither Bassey, Newton or Lee.

She´s the only one who says it flawless, even better than most germans )

Laila Kinnunen (unable to post the link of her version of the song)

  • @yourcarshop Angelina Monti pronounces it also correctly.

  • @Thorneycroft1937 yes, you are right. She pronounces it also correctly, but no wonder. she was studying music in Germany and worked there for many years with several rchestras, recording plenty of records.

  • @yourcarshop Thanks. Here is the title: Laila Kinnunen - Danke schön 1963. Just copy and paste. That confirmed that it's Danke "Shurn", at elast to my ears. I like her version of it- slow and seductive, not a finger snapper.

  • I believe she's pronoucning Danke Scoen correctly, unlike Wayne Newton and Brenda Lee

  • @44032 i love shirley - but her pronounciation of dankeschön is so bad - much better by brenda lee !

  • She is number one!!

  • Grazie mille!!********* Wonderful

    Paolo

  • The opening chords to this song sound a bit like 'I've Got You Under My Skin.' Has anyone else noticed? Anyhow, this is terrific!

  • When was this recored? Stunning!

  • Marvelous.
