I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS SONG >_>.Thank you 25x. It is so unbelieveably beautiful.' 68 charger, 440, 3 dueces, and Linda M.. She was GEORGEOUS. God I miss being 19. I'm in agreement with boswell69.
I remember driving my $6200 lacquer silver Porsche 914 out of the driveway of the guy's house I bought it from (in mint condition @ 10K miles) to this song.
I had to learn to drive a stick in a hurry, there were Triumphs & Alphas to beat!
FYI: You guys can also hear this song (and see the group) on an "What's Happening!!" episode title "Doobie or Not Doobie". Type in Doobie or Not Doobie above and hit Search or just click on it when it pops up.
I never had a problem with the Doobie Brothers becoming more jazzy and adult oriented after 1974 with the arrival ex Steely Dan session members like Micheal McDonald
A lot of people criticize and hate what the Doobie Brother became after 1974. They criticize that the Doobie Brothers became too jazzy and too many horns in their music so they left following the Doobie Brothers after 1974.
saw these guys in concert in the 70s 80s and 90s the songs never grow old what a band the doobies rock they were just here at ft knox couple days ago they still got it
Memories, memories, memories. Although this album was released in '77 the music takes me back to '73 and my wedding reception down in Huntington Beach, California. Though the marriage to Marjorie Ann Cannon was ill fated, the moment was special with alot of Doobie Brothers music in the background ~ ringing in my memories still. Isn't it amazing how a song or a smell can have your heart & soul racing back to another time & place when life seemed better. It's where I (still) spend alot of time
This deserved to be # 1 on every chart known to man!! It was worth a better placing than # 66 on Billboard. Vocals, synths, guitars, driving rhythm. Great interpretation of a great song.
I bought this 33RPM record album the day it hit the shelves in L.A. Circa; 1976.

They make it sound so easy, yet 35 years later, no one has really emulated it.

@svo65 Wow, it's coming up on 34 years. I was one ecstatic 18 year old, until I received my first Farmers bill for $140 YIKES, That was 1978 dollars!
No, I sold it so I could afford college in Santa Cruz, Ca but I only stayed there for a single semester so it was a big regret I carry with me.
But I've had 2 Jags, a Suby TurboRX, and an Infinity so I've enjoyed the road a bit over the last 33.5 years... I only kept it 6 months, waaaahhh!
I believe there's a Carrerra-4 in my future...

Yes, thanks. Another great song from the Doobie's. They did so many great songs.
I've seen them in concert eight times over the years. I wonder if this song has
been digitally remastered?
