what type of pastels do you use? hard soft? brand? your work is exceptional

How are you? I like to use the harder side of the spectrum. The brands I use the most, Cretacolor Pastel Carre, Holbein mostly, I also use Winsor and Newton, ArtSpectrum....for the softest darkest darks I enjoy using Sennelier. Thaks for the encouraging words on my art!

I love the look of this first vlog, with pearls of wisdom aplenty too! My faves include:

"With painting it's basically a love-hate relationship", "A realistic painter is just an illusionist" and "Always look at your model- don't get lost in the act of painting".

All of these apply to filmmaking too, without much turning around. Terrific stuff.

yeah... i agree on that "love/hate" relationship... sometimes i get so angry at my work... that i throw it away and start over...
