  • I dont even like bill but I agree with what he said.dont blame the religion because of a nutcase, theres crazy atheist too peopleshold be held responsible for there actions not beliefs $ I swear to u I dislike religion but I will defend peoples right to believd in whatever they choose.

  • Sam is amazing, and bill is a moron, but bill didn't really get destroyed as bad as you made it sound.

  • @ctommy205

Yes, that's true, but bill is so extraordinarily ignorant, and conceited, this one goes to Sam, heavily, as with every time he has appeared on Idiot o'reilly's comedy program. Thanks for watching and Happy New Year!

  • If we cant convince the christians to give up their beliefs then how are we going to convince the musilims to give up theirs LOL this world is Doomed, DOOMED i tell you

  • @Typho0n86

Well, at least you're remaining optimistic about things in general. Have a great Holiday weekend too!

  • sams the man! lick my balls bill!

  • @neobudda1

    LOL! Happy Holidays! LOL!

  • I notice that Bill has no problem bashing islam, but when it gets to HIS religion, he suddenly gets defensive. What a noob.

  • @HighCaliberLogic

Yes, bill the Clown is a sententious twit whose tremendous self-righteousness and low IQ allow for some astonishing "decision making." Fungus makes more cogent arguments than idiot o'reilly. o'reilly is an embarrassment to his species, whatever that might be. We're guessing, but we'd say it's several branches below the "Missing Link." Thanks for watching and posting!

  • I love Sam .. but Bill didnt get that much of a beat down ... I was hoping for a verbal beat down :D

  • @jcStarkravingmad

bill the Clown always gets beat down, usually by himself. Sam was just there to enjoy o'reilly's sententious denial of reality. Thanks for commenting too!

  • you greatly exaggerate the pwnage of o'reilly. Sam harris is pretty awesome though.

  • @KspekEvo

No exageration, bill is a moron, and is always wrong, where Sam is always dead on the money. Thanks for watching and for commenting!

  • This guy lokes as Ben Stiller

  • Ok its 11 seconds in. You sold me... don't disappoint me. I'd better see a Sam Harris win. Follow up after I'm done watching.

  • Bill-O is insane.

  • @bigboy45454545

Yes, and dumb as a Stump, no offense to Stumps intended. Thanks for watching too!

  • "They're crazy. Anyone who believes this crap is insane." Do any other atheists ever listen to Christians criticizing Islam, and just think, "would you listen to what the fuck you're saying?"

  • @el100783

Awesome comment, well spoken! Have a nice weekend too!

  • The only thing I don't agree with Harris on is that 'we allow' these beliefs. These beliefs exist an nobody allows anyone else to think anything, it just happens. Part of liberty is accepting that.

What we need to do is admit we are being aggressive in this manner and try to challenge people to prove, say, that a cracker is magical and if they can't tell them that belief is logically no more valid than suicide bombing. Which he does anyway, I just don't like the use of the word, 'allow'.

  • @countertreason

Sam is entirely correct. As long as the remarkably childish and completely absurd fiction of religion is allowed to go unchallenged, it poses a threat to Our planet. There has to be a real Scientific movement to say to the entirety of religio-Psychotics "Look, if you can't offer evidential proof of these comical beliefs of yours, we are going to start putting your dogma in the fiction section and marking it as such, with a giant warning label saying FICTION." It's a start.

  • @mccainisthrough Well, the reality is that they are far more powerful than us and we exist by the graces of the religious moderates. In Europe the non-religious can start bullying, but here, in North America generally, we are still at the mercy of the religious. So... we can try to put that book in the fiction section all we want, but we may just provoke them into establishing a theocracy or some old fashioned religious fascism.

So, I would prefer to go about things gently.

  • @countertreason

Great comment. Thanks for watching too! We still prefer a more intense and aggressive method of tumor removal, but your fine point is duly noted! Be Well!

  • @mccainisthrough Haha, you too. Don't get me killed tho!

  • @countertreason

    LOL! Be Well!

  • I love the "We need to to eradicate ALL religions" in the middle of the video. My only suggestion would be capitalize "NEED" as well haha. Bill totally misses Sam Harris' point on an insane belief, what a narrow minded idiot, he's among many unfortunately.

  • @hedshel01

Thank you! Yes, we agree. Thanks for watching and commenting too! Have a great week too!

  • aghh i completely dislike o'reilly's interview methods.. he should quit interrupting his guest.. it just makes him look like an arrogant ass.. i bet this is the scheme most of the fox news anchors use.

  • @mmmodafoca

Right on the nose. Thanks for watching and commenting too!

  • "What is the most provocative thesis in this book?" Nice openning question that shows the low moral category of this so-called journalist.

  • @tetsugal

True, and thanks for having watched and commenting!

  • I'm glad someone else can sit through these shows on tv and just show me the highlights!

  • @moniquemoon

LOL! Thanks! Have a good weekend too!

  • lmao at the end note

  • @LowleyUK

    Thanks!

  • I don't think this is really an accurate picture of the muslim world. i don't think you'd be able to change someone's mind if they have faith.. you can explain this to them and argue you're points but if they don't conede to a reasoned way of thinking, at the end of the day we have to get on with people. finding a common goal should be more important.

  • @macdahet

Thanks for watching and commenting. We do believe Harris nailed it, and o'reilly is always terrified of Sam Harris, he always buries poor christo-Psychotic o'reilly in just a few well measured words.

  • @mccainisthrough

yeah, bill o'reilly is filth but glen beck is worse. bill reminds me of an angry rascist in a nursing home soiling himself. glen beck just makes me hope no one is watching him and if they are they're just giggling. yeah, i like sam harris. it seems that when anyone reasonable speaks they're calm and relaxed. and if something upsets them they don't start saying SHUT UP! but just take it lightheartedly with a joke. unlike fanatical people.

  • @macdahet

LOL! Great comment. beck is a Moron. Thanks for watching and commenting too!

  • NOTE TO ISLAMIC EXTREMISTS:

The Qu'ran doesn't actually say you'll get "72 virgins" in that so-called martyr's paradise...it's actually "ONE 72 yr old virgin"...sorry for the mistranslation.

I'll bet the Ayatollah's will have a harder time selling the new idea to potential martyrs!

  • @TruthJockey

LOL! Thanks for watching and commenting too!

  • "Nobody who is clear thinking, nobody we would take seriously."

    -Bill O'reilly

    Oh, the irony.

  • @DoNotBeHighandMighty

LOL! o'reilly is a sententious moron. Thanks for watching and the funny comment! Have a nice week too!

  • e·rad·i·cate /ɪˈrædɪˌkeɪt/ Show Spelled[ih-rad-i-keyt] Show IPA

–verb (used with object), -cat·ed, -cat·ing.

    1. to remove or destroy utterly; extirpate: to eradicate smallpox throughout the world.

  • @MrHairymanback

Yes, perfect! Thanks for watching and commenting too! Be Well!

  • Actually... O'Reilly handled that a lot better than he usually does. He is a Roman Catholic and Sam Harris basically told him that, minus the capacity to allow the most horrendous consequences, he is equally as irrational as a murderous Muslim zealot. This is quite provocative. I commend Harris for noting that O'Reilly is "not letting on" the significance of his point (which I felt I observed as well) and that he would make this rather cutting and incisive remark.

  • @countertreason

We agree with your comment. Thanks for watching and have a great weekend too!

  • Fox news is a comedy show guys.

  • @raulBecker

Correct. We actually refer to it as it is fox Comedy news, Phony News for Phonies. Thanks for watching and commenting too!

  • oreily doesnt get the irrational thinking of faith based systems, he says he doesent favour the extremists, yet he supports the backwardness of his own religion, which perpetuates the problem. cue the sheep comments.

  • @kram83au

100% correct, and thanks for having watched and commenting too!

  • What they fail to accept is that this war is not about religion at all. And people should be free to believe as they want.

  • @u2hubbard

We shouldn't teach religion, it creates self-righteous morons, inherently dangerous ones without and understanding of reality. Yes, it's fine to believe what you want, it's freedom. But when a 26-year-old man believes in Santa Claus, they should expect sane rational people to view them as Mentally Ill, since that's what they are. religion needs to be euthanized fast, or at least neutralized and universally stamped "fiction."

  • bill didn't get his sack ripped off..look, i'm not the biggest fan of bill, but it seems like u bill haters have to rip on him not matter what the fuck he says. he didn't say a damn thing in this clip that merits an insult..they both pretty much agreed..

  • @itzahazylife

That's valid, thanks. It should be noted however, that o'reilly is a roman catholic like Hitler, so he's able to allow Islam freedoms to live by a book of fiction the same way he has. Sam Harris states that we shouldn't accept fantastical beliefs as reasonable, and o'reilly clings to his fantasy security blank lovingly, and doesn't want it pried from his clammy hands, exactly as an Islamic extremist would behave. Thanks for watching and commenting too!

  • @mccainisthrough

although bill never really gave an answer to sams point about general irrationality among all religious superstition, i do agree that bill still secretly clings to his own superstitions..he made that pretty clear when he didn't come straight out and agree with sams solid point.

  • @itzahazylife

Yes, o'reilly is literally in his own tiny world full of pink dancing unicorns and walking trees. He's a moron. Thanks for watching and commenting too!

  • @billytistrak

Thankfully when you addressed Sam Harris, who received his Undergraduate Degree from Stanford and his Ph.D. in neuroscience from UCLA, you did it with such blistering intellectual command, and with enormous and weighty evidential support for your argument that nobody could call you say ...an absolute moron with no grasp of reality or any intellectual capacity whatsoever, maybe saying, conclusively, that you have the intelligence of a badminton racket or empty soda can.

  • @billytistrak

LOL! william lane craig, who holds no real degrees, is not only an absolute moron, but insane. That's not an opinion, it's a clinical diagnosis. When creatures cling, mindlessly, to fiction while ignoring blinding reality, they bare mentally ill. craig likes to spin magical stories, such as claiming he knows of an "eyewitness to the resurrection," meaning craig is certifiable insane, and as bright as a tuna can lid. Sam Harris is brilliant and articulate, craig is a sick moron.

  • No problems in UAE?? Where does this guy get his info? They still allow stonings etc in UAE and they still make it against the law to apostate and the penalty is death... freedom of expression and speech vitually dosnt exist in UAE - no there are tons of problems caused by the Islam fairytale in UAE Mr O'Reilly...

  • @LynxAQ

Tremendous, as well as accurate, comment. Thanks for watching and contributing a gem of a comment! Cheers!

  • Bill just never gets that his own religion is as crazy as all of the others. Even though it's obvious to most clear-thinking people. Noah's ark, people living inside of whales and coming back out unharmed, virgin birth, resurrection from the dead, etc is just as crazy as 72 virgins in the afterlife and flying around on a winged horse...or magic underwear, or thetans. IT IS ALL CRAZY, BILL. All of it.

  • @drgregsgurl

That's perfectly accurate. bill is a sententious clown who would rather live in a dark closet with a bucket of mop water than out in the sunlight with fresh rain drops dancing on his head. He's dogmatic and defensive, the worst kind of religio-Psychotic. Thanks for watching and commenting as well!

  • @mccainisthrough I remember the clip of Bill with Dawkins. Bill actually says that he'd rather believe something with no scientific or logical basis than believe evolution since it hasn't been 100% proven (in BIll's mind, I mean...not in the minds of logical people). EVEN if Bill believes that evolution has only been ...say.....95% proven...he's still saying he'd believe the 0% proven alternative to the 95% percent proven alternative. Only religion makes people this stupid. In what other...

  • @drgregsgurl

Couldn't have been put any better! Brava, assuming you're female of course.

  • @mccainisthrough (cont'd) arena of life would anyone take 0% odds over 95% odds? If your surgeon told you there was a medical procedure for your type of cancer that has been 95% proven to cure you based on medical/scientific evidence, and one that has been 0% proven to cure you, which would you choose? It's just incomprehensible. And frightening. I'll say it again. Religion makes people stupid.

  • It's funny how Bill O'Reilly repeatedly shows how he does not care about what's logical, rational or true in his belief as long as it fits his way of thinking. It's like his stance in regards to things that science does not know. He openly admits that he believes what he believe for the sake of having an answer, not because he necessarily because he believes it to be a rational and logical answer.

  • @GrottoFace

That is exactly right. o'reilly is comfortable with fables and legends rather that paying Science any attention, even though he'd rush to an Atheist medical doctor to save his life and trusts that Atheist Stephen Hawking knows more about cosmology and astrophysics than he does, yet he still declares he believes in Santa Claus and argues against reality and logic. bill is a sententious twit. Thanks for watching and commenting too!

  • Lol look at how intimidated O'Reilly is. He knows he can't confidently debate someone as sharp as Sam Harris.

  • @MarvelsofaLifetime

True. Another facet of it is that Truth and Reality always overwhelm childish superstition and myth. Thanks for watching and have a pleasant weekend.

  • ben stiller really takes o'reilly to school on this one

  • @nicky2coats

    LOL!

  • @nicky2coats He DOES look like Ben Stiller!!

  • Sam really delivered! I just wish it were more balanced as going against all religions versus singling out Islam so much but he did mention the catholic crackers and in this day and age Islam is indeed the more dangerous religion out there. So, great job!

  • @eddie1975utube

True, we agree with your comment. He had limited time so he did focus on Islam more than other religions. Thanks for watching and commenting too!

  • @eddie1975utube I'm sure he expected that if he didn't focus on Islam, Bill would cut his mic. It wouldn't be the first time.

  • @cfotoole

LOL! True too. Thanks for watching and the accurate, as well as amusing, comment!

  • 5/5 If we demonstrate better behavior than the religious, then I believe that we'll convince many people in our lifetime. If you are a humanist then I must insist that practicing kindness (without negating yourself) is going to get you more of what you want than is being harsh. Is that religious wish-thinking on my part, or merely a consequence of how much easier it is for H sapiens to listen to ideas when they're spoken at a reasonable volume, and without insults? Keep up the GOOD work.

  • @ChollieD

    Thanks, Be Well!

  • 4/5 We also need to realize that we who argue against religious fantasy are unlikely to personally witness many changes of mind. It's hard enough to face the shame of being wrong by yourself, let alone right in front of the people who are telling you that you're mistaken (or worse, in front of someone telling you that you're a fµcking idiot). So then, let's make it as easy for them as possible to cross this painful gap! Again, either we talk, or we kill.

  • 3/5 To be blunt: if you're talking about starting up the trains to Auschwitz, then I hope that I have the courage to stand in front of one if/when that time comes. Now, I don't really think that's where you're at, exactly, but your language is violent and therefore it seems reasonable to suspect that your thoughts are also violent. On the other hand this is YouTube, where apparently if you're not a troll then you're a sissy. So it may be that I just don't get it, as you might say.

  • 2/5 I'm sincerely concerned that your desire to "euthanize" religion will change to, or is covertly, a desire to euthanize the religious. The desire to "fix" humanity is the base prescription of much of modern tyranny (Iran, e.g.), and leads to mass death. Humanity needs to change course from magical thinking to evidence-based thinking, one agonizingly small degree at a time. This is our humanity, all of us, including the religious. Either we talk, or we kill.

  • Well, you certainly appear to have done more to promote freedom from religion by posting these videos than I have. Therefore I am not well placed to judge your evident frustration at being unable to change religious minds. But please recall that history is a looong bus (still frequently misguided by the religious orientation of humanity), with a lot of inertia, and it's going to take much time and effort to change its course.

  • @ChollieD

If people stopped teaching children that lies are real, it would end. religion is bad, by any standard. Thanks for your comments too, they are thoughtful. We still believe religion should be euthanized. People should be free to do as they please, but instructing people to lie to others on a constant basis is not the foundation to anything good, and that's all religion does. The religious are mentally ill. Ignorance brings people to religion, mental illness keeps them in the cult.

  • I'm as big a fan of Sam Harris as anyone. However, I respectfully submit that the statement "We need to eradicate all religions" (inserted in the video) is semantically similar to "We need to fix the world by killing or at least silencing religious people." Not the same, but similar. We should make better use of our speech than do the jihadis and other true believers, or else what's the point?

  • @ChollieD

We appreciate your sensitivity to freedoms, but we still feel that ALL religion must be euthanized for the safety of the Earth. religions create self-righteous and sententious creatures who are backwards and feel they are above all Earthly Laws and Rules, it is destructive and dangerous, as we've see repeatedly.

"This would be the best of all possible worlds if there were no religion in it"

    -John Adams

  • @mccainisthrough Very well. We must remember we have the humanity that we have, not the one that we want. That also is reality. How firmly shall we grip to the dogma of "getting rid of religion"? We cannot show that an atheist path is better than a religion if we are similarly dogmatic and intolerant. We should attempt to be very specific in addressing what's wrong, for example, with magical thinking, rather than calling the religious "idiots" (which I realize you have not proposed).

  • @ChollieD

There is NO SUCH THING AS "Atheism." The church invented the word "Atheist" as a SLUR! They are self-righteous bigots. The word was meant to be condescending and derogatory. The equivalent would be coming up with a word for people who don't believe in the Tooth Fairy, or Bigfoot, or a Singing Monkey god who lives in a book. No, ALL religion is detrimental, and we have NUMEROUS videos that explain its faults, without using SLURS, as the religious attempted to do. They are idiots!

  • @mccainisthrough Again, okay. You don't like the word atheist? Too bad, it is THE convenient handle to describe us, and the religious certainly aren't going to stop using it if we call them idiots. Besides, there's too many IQ-smart religious people...guilty of doublethink is closer to the truth about them. What's more important to you, to help change humanity for the better, or to be "right" and to feel superior? There is a difference, and it matters, is all I'm sayin'.

  • @ChollieD

Being right doesn't necessarily equate to feeling superior, it has to do with stopping Idiocy, can't you see that. They are Idiots, period. If you walked into a business meeting and told the room of people you believe in a Monkey that lives on a floating carpet and controls all life, you believe they would think you're bright, clever, or sane? Think again. If these IDIOTS lived 3,000 years ago, they'd believe whatever "god" BS you presented. They are most definitely, Idiots.

  • @mccainisthrough This conversation may have run its course for the day. I might suggest that you run this experiment, even if only in your mind: keep calling them idiots, and then see how many of them are willing to listen further to what specifically is wrong with their thinking. Then, instead, lead with the specifics, and let them decide whether or not they were being idiots. I'll be happy to let you have the last word.

  • @ChollieD

You don't get. THEY WILL NEVER CONSIDER ANYTHING THAT REFUTES THEIR POSITION, they ARE Idiots and or Mentally Ill. I doesn't matter how you engage them, how you refer to them or what you present, EVER! They are Morons, self-righteous ones "who know" they are right. You cannot break their delusion, that's why religion MUST BE euthanized. We need to stop teaching it to stupid people, period. Be Well!

  • @ChollieD

When an Idiot tries to cut off their own head with a chainsaw and we stop them, it's not about superiority, it's about FACTS. Idiots claim a "god" wrote the bible, and other religious dogma, when it's obvious he/she/it did not. If you try and teach someone that the bible is written by man, when evidential substance abounds, and is presented repeatedly, and they still deny it, there are limited choices, and MANY of our videos do just that. After rejection, they are Idiots/mentally ill

  • Bill is such an idiot! He totally missed the point!

  • @dafontenot

He has fewer brains than a bar of soap. Thanks for watching and commenting too!

  • How does Bill cite the Inquisition as an example of extremism? That was mainstream catholicism of the time period!

  • @tml4873

Wow, great point. bill ain't terribly bright. Thanks for watching too!

  • @tml4873 I don't know but maybe he states this on the fact that the inquisition was in Spain and not throughout Europe. There was no Inquisition in France or Ireland for example.

  • @chairde

The reason is o'reilly is a Moron, Liar and sententious twit. bill uses opinion rather than facts or evidence. o'reilly is a snake oil salesmen for morons, nothing more. He should place a mirror of himself across from himself while he conducts his moronic comedy show. Sam Harris is fantastic, o'reilly's just a fool. Thanks for watching and commenting. Have a nice week too!

  • @mccainisthrough Hahaha, yeah I was trying to be nice but you're right.

  • @chairde

    Thanks Again!

  • "War of ideas" is a very poor choice of words indeed. It's not only about winning; it's about "winning over". It involves persuasion, and mostly not of the purely rational kind. Getting people to give up on religion (which tends to be perceived as highly valuable) has a lot to do with "making up for it" with something of much more subjective value. A marketing approach would serve the cause much better.

  • @chayoto

Great comment, perhaps over-intellectualizing it, maybe nailing it, not sure. religio-Psychotics are in need of something, maybe they cane live without the childish attachment, maybe not. They seem to be more violent with it, radical self-righteousness at an advanced level. Teaching humans religion is man-made fairy tales like Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy is a start. It's not so much "marketing" as education. religion is silly, and that's being rather kind. Thanks for the comment.

  • Bill - 0

Everyone else that's ever been on the show - 10000

  • @superduperjew

o'eilly is a sententious prick, and fox comedy news is as newsworthy as a full toilet. Thanks for watching and commenting too!

  • There's no right way to confront Islam, but engaging in war is furtherest from the answer.

  • @UtopiaMinor666

True, all religions do need to be euthanized quickly though. Thanks for commenting and having watched too!

  • Why'd you disable ratings?

  • @Xenophile665

christian votebots come by and give it 3,000 thumbs downs without even viewing it. They have done it to several of our videos. When a video has 311 views and 2,456 thumbs down it's a pretty obvious thing.

  • So... Fox News' goal is to host people of views other than conservative, right-wing republicans and then bull-rush them off the show to make them look non-creditable? Yeah... I hope people see through that.

  • @Quethean

Most thinking people see that. Thanks for having watched and the bright aware comment!

  • BILL, YOU ARE AN IDIOT

  • @lmhjs1000

He's a Complete Moron. Thanks for watching and commenting too!

  • sam's last point is very important

  • @Richy15251

    Yes it is, thanks!

  • what those suicide bombers believe bill, is a positive thing for them too although the consequences for those around them is far worse than someone believing that a cracker is the embodiment of christ. that in the long term isnt the point anyway. the fact of the matter is that neither can be supported by evidence and anyone who believes either is, as you said yourself bill, "crazy".

  • @atallboy123

Outstanding comment! Thanks for watching as well!

  • I am sick of hearing this crap. You do not create Jihad by resisting it. Bill O'Reilly says that if we resist the ideas perpetrated by Islam, it will make them hate us more. This war of ideas is going to come if it is not here already.

  • @michaellee213

    Nice comment, thanks!

  • is bill deliberately missing the point here?

  • All religion must be eradicated? Stopping people from believing in something is wrong, that makes you just as guilty as the religions themselves. We need to wait for these childish beliefs to die out, just like you wait for a child to stop believing in Santa.

  • I like how Sam Harris doesn't sugar coat the fact that Islam is the biggest threat currently facing a free, civilized world.

Also, O'Riley can't admit that All religions poison the way normally rational people think. For some reason, he can't see the fact that the Jesus myth is just as unbelieveable as the Mohammad myth.

  • This is awesome! Billo just can't get the point that Harris is making about the cracker being literally the body of a person (Jesus) who has been dead for centuries. I had a conversation with my friend who is still Catholic and made that same point and he told me that the cracker in church (not the priest) was LITERALLY the body of Jesus. He swore that he really thought that. So then I asked him if Jesus's DNA could be found in that cracker. He got offended! Smart guy, otherwise.

  • @aReasonableMan12

LOL! Brilliant question, fleshes out the obvious. Thanks!

  • Sam Harris is very reasonable. I'm glad I looked him up.

  • oreilly is such a CUNT. he is a catholic and we all know he hates muslims, but he is such a religious cunt and against rationality, that he still defends islam because its a religion.. what a fucking cunt.. fuck religion and bill oreily HE IS A JOKE and shouldnt be on tv

  • oreilly is such a CUNT. he is a catholic and we all know he hates muslims, but he is sucha religious cunt and rationality, that he still defends islam because its a religion.. what a fucking cunt.. fuck religion and bill oreily HE IS A JOKE and shouldnt be on tv

  • I gotta say I LOL'd very much at the text at the end. "bill 'oreilly got his tiny empty sack ripped right off".. I LOL'd at the vulgarity of it and then held my own crotch and thought "Ouch!"

  • @DarthMocha

LOL! Sorry you reacted to the graphic imagery of it. Thanks too!

  • I just started smirking when Bill said "they're nuts, they're crazy...anybody who kills themselves and thinks they'll get 72 virgins is insane". Yes, sure, because believing in a serene paradise world where you go after death is much less insane (and not evenly rooted in mediocre, uncreative, wishful thinking).

  • @TudiRad

True, and well said. Thanks for watching and sharing a great comment too!

  • O'Reilly is a useless, Ignorant, piece of shit...

  • @mateodawkins

We hardly disagree! Thanks and have a great weekend too!

  • I do not think "eradicating" all religions is an appropriate solution to end violence or ignorance.

  • @Sovonk

It's a damn good start though.

  • @mccainisthrough

    Absolutely

  • @mccainisthrough Do you like Jesus?

  • @Sovonk

Absolutely not. Here's what the alleged jesus said: "Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword." matthew 10-34

    We don't approve of murder, we're Atheists/Agnostics.

  • @mccainisthrough I don't think that passage implies that Jesus plans to murder, or have others murder for him. If you read the context before and after, the sword analogy means this: Jesus says, "Following me is going to cost you some relationships in your life. Your mother may forsake you. Your friends may not want to hang out with you. It's going to feel like a sword severed those relationships and there is no peace. But following me is that important." (My interpretations aren't great) haha

  • @Sovonk

LOL! How about these delightful passages, from the bible?:

"And put a knife to your throat if you have a ravenous appetite" proverbs 23:2

"If a man lies with a male as with a women, both of them shall be put to death for their abominable deed; they have forfeited their lives."

    leviticus 20:13

So YOUR very creepy "god" pal, likes to murder gays, that's quite a "god." This "god" person created creatures to kill them, very evil. Your morals are the opposite of Atheism, UR violent.

  • @mccainisthrough =/ I suppose it wouldn't help if I told you that Yahweh sincerely loves everyone, including homosexuals. Do you agree with any of Jesus' teachings?

We'd say jesus was a creation of the christian church and never even existed. The bible, or old testament, was written by the jews, and has nothing to do with christ, or any of that garbage, it's also purely vile though, we've read it's detestable rules. There is nothing in religion worth reading, let alone living by. Morals, as life does, evolves. Man made religion out of fear of the unknown, we now have Science/Reality, we don't need the childish idiocy of religion, it's harmful.

  • @mccainisthrough I agree that religion can be harmful. But I guess the question I'm trying to ask you is, do you think (for the most part) Jesus is a good role model? Even as a fictional character in a book?

  • @Sovonk

From what we've read about the Original jesus in the old testament, no, he's ghastly. And, we do not accept redacted versions (new testament) of what the christians claimed as the original "word of god," since they are both written by man, obviously, and they contradict each other terribly. if you're to believe the old testament, you cannot believe anything in the new testament, they so badly contradict themselves that this "god" person would be a Psychotic and Schizophrenic ...

  • @Sovonk

jesus speaking "Do not think that I have come to bring peace upon earth. I have come to bring not peace but the sword. For I have come to set a man 'against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; and one's enemies will be those of his household'". matthew 10:34-36

  • @Sovonk

jesus: "When they drew near Jerusalem and came to Bethphage on the Mount of Olives, jesus sent two disciples, saying to them, "Go into the village opposite you, and immediately you will find an ass tethered, and a colt with her. Untie them and bring them here to me. matthew 21:1-2

So jesus is telling people to Steal. Those are fine values and teachings, eh?

The bible is pure trash and needs to be euthanized, along with EVERY religion.

  • @mccainisthrough If you're going to look at the negative aspects of Jesus, you must also look as the positive aspects. He died to save people. If someone died for you, wouldn't you consider them a good person? Despite their teachings? And I think there's some confusion here: Jesus is not mentioned in the Old Testament. Jesus and God are different individuals, though both divine. So let's try to concentrate on just Jesus =)

  • @Sovonk

jesus is a mythical figure invented by power hungry men to control the masses, that's why 100% of the old testament is THREATS. The bible and the idea of personal gods is pathetic. Nobody has EVER died for anyone's conduct in relation to biblical babble. religious creatures are mentally ill, and need to be treated for mental illness. There was no jebus, and there is NO "god," it's the worst childish superstition ever. If the bible is real, so is the quran, and book of mormon.

  • @Sovonk the problem with your contentions is it is muddled with unsupported and dogmatic religious beliefs. Your trying to explain things in a religious biased point of view. How did Jesus death save the 'people of sin"? Why did need Jesus need to die so to speak to save his people? Who are those people? Are those people needs to be a member of certain religion in order to be saved? I hope you consider all this questions before you even make any conclusion about the efficacy of Jesus's death.

  • @illusionist11 =/ I'm just asking two simple questions. Do you think that Jesus is a good example to follow? Why or why not?

  • @Sovonk

You're trying to worm out some silly answers regarding an imaginary character like the Tooth Fairy or Bigfoot. jesus has no value, except to crazy people. Morals and Values are determined by the society and they evolve out of reason. If morals didn't evolve, there would be only one bible, the old testament, not a second man-made rewrite called the new testament. Furthermore, if the bible was written by this idiot "god," there would be no reason for a rewrite, unless "god's" a moron.

  • @mccainisthrough =) You have many valid points, but all I'm trying to do is convince that Jesus is an alright example to follow. Even if he was imaginary. Dora the Explorer is imaginary, but I think she's a great example for kids to follow. =] I'm not trying to trip you up or "worm" anything out of you. Do you think Jesus is a good example to follow or not? Why or why not?

  • @Sovonk

As we said, no. Anyone that condones the murder of homosexuals, witches or any other human beings is inherently not a good role model. We believe that if people want good role models, they should look to real people like their parents, or family members, not manufactured ever-changing mythical figures.

  • @mccainisthrough Jesus often told people, "Do not murder." (Matthew 19:19) In fact, Jesus told a parable beginning in Luke 20:9, that basically said, "if you murder or injure anyone (including homosexuals) you will be punished for it." Jesus did not and does not condone murder.

I actually really like this parable, because I think it applies today to certain Christians. Some Christians feel they can treat anyone the way they want to, but forget they will face consequences. You should read it. =)

  • @Sovonk

jesus didn't tell anyone anything, it's a mythical figure. And, in the writings about jesus, a sententious and pretentious moron, he condescended to highly religious people by claiming that he alone was related to the force that is Life. That is the stupidest thing ever. If jesus lived, he was the town fool, or drunk. Who walks into a mosque and tells the congregants "I'm god's son, you're not." The idea of it is ludicrous. If jesus lived, he was mentally ill, like all religious nuts.

  • @mccainisthrough How about I just say that Jesus wasn't real. He's only a character in a book, just like Atticus Finch. And just like Atticus Finch, Jesus is good example to follow.

Jesus actually had a strong distaste for "religious nuts." He basically yells at them in Matthew 23:13 by writing a list of things he can't stand about them. 23:13 - "Woe unto you, Scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites!" 23:15 - "You search hard to make followers twofold more the child of hell than yourselves."

  • @Sovonk yer a fucking idiot if you need a book or somone to tell you how to act and live your life

  • @llHyRaXll

We hate dangerous fairy tales too!

  • @llHyRaXll He is no fool who gives up what he cannot keep in order to gain that which he cannot lose.

  • @Sovonk

Proverbs are good for about a foot, then they melt from realities heat. You are a pleasant fellow, but we feel sorry for all religious believers, they follow like blind sheep, never living on their own. Imagine how screwed up animals would be with religion. We side with Einstein on the moral issue, "god" is not necessary for morals and is a product of human weakness and ignorance. As morals evolve with man, they fit better since they're natural and not reliant on wild superstition.

  • @Sovonk

All religion is dangerous, unnecessary and creates self-righteous idiots who think they have some divine knowledge or values, they don't. The myths of jesus are 2,000 years old, values and ethics evolve, so whatever jesus' stories brought to people 2,000 years ago are outmoded, unnecessary and as stated, created morons who think they have supernatural ethics. It's better to admire your grandmother, or JFK, or Barack Obama, not a clown who allegedly told everyone "I'm 'god's' son."

  • @mccainisthrough Hmm... I disagree. I think Jesus' teachings can still apply today. Do you not agree with Jesus went he taught, "Be merciful, as your Father is merciful. Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you shall be forgiven. Give, and it shall be given unto you."? (Luke 6:36-38)

  • @Sovonk I have the bible open to those verses. Matthew 19:19 says to honor your parents and love your neighbor as yourself. Basically Jesus is repeating the 10 commandments. Luke 20:9 says "Then began he to speak to the people in this parable; A certain man planted a vineyard, and let it forth to husbandmen, and went into a far country for a long time." The following verses talk about beating multiple servants and killing the son of the owner of the vineyard

  • @Sovonk and it talks about the owner coming in to kill all of the husbandmen to reclaim it as his own. Basically god coming in and killing all of us to reclaim it as his own. How moral is that. Gotta love the "good" book.

  • @Sovonk What does god want with Earth anyway? Couldn't he just go to one of the other billion planets and try again to create the perfect species that he's failed to create time and time again? The god of the bible is a god of failure after failure after failure. The poor fool can't do anything right. All powerful? Yeah, right.

  • @DarthMocha I'm sorry DarthMocha. My youtube account wasn't telling me you were responding to my comments. The husbandmen parable meant this: The Pharisees were beating and killing people looking for the truth because they were interested in personal gain. And then God returns and punishes them. The parable is simply there to remind us that the religious right is going to suffer for their crimes as well. I think it's a message of justice. =)

  • @Sovonk Yeah, my Youtube is acting up as well. Google = retards sometimes. I see what you're saying, and in that light, it's actually pretty cool. But you have to consider the fact that most of the religious nuts are justified by other bible verses. There are bible verses commanding stoning non-believers, or believers of different gods, to death. So they are just doing god's will in their minds, justified by the bible itself.

  • @DarthMocha Those verses do exist, but not for the purpose the religious right has used them for. All I can promise you is that Yahweh is just, and will deal with them accordingly. However, I myself am not offering you power. Nor am I trying to gain power. I am only offering you Jesus, who has changed my life in so many ways for the better. And I want others to experience his love. =) But of course, I try not to shove it down people's throats.

  • @Sovonk

Your rants are scary, you need help. christians are mentally unstable, all religious dogmatics are. You can offer nothing that reality hasn't already provided for. The bible is no more the word of "god" than the quran or book of mormon or Three Little Pigs, the only one with true value. religion is for the weak of mind and body. And listen to how self-righteous you've become, you really believe the nonsense, sad. Get some help, truly, you need it. religious people also have lower IQ's.
