Oh, ok. That's all I really wanted to know. I'm planning on towing a JK wrangler with my Audi Q5. I was worried that towing it on the highway might send it all over the place, but talking to a few trailer places and your reply has set my mind at ease.
@ etrailertv That doesn't really answer my questions, If the front tires of the towed vehicle don't turn when turning a corner won't you effectively be dragging the front of the towed vehicle into the corner?
@fourbypete When you are towing a vehicle, the vehicle being towed will follow the tow vehicle. When you are towing, you unlock the steering column and the force that the tow vehicle puts on your car will cause the wheels of the car to turn as well. There is slightly more tire wear on a car when it is towed long distances, but it will follow the vehicle that is doing the towing.
When you turn a corner, what stops the steering wheel in the towed vehicle from turning also?
When you turn a corner, does the towed vehicle's front wheel drag diagonally into the corner? If so, the front tires would wear out fairly quickly on a long trip..
@fourbypete Before you tow your vehicle, you need to make sure that it is safe to tow. Your owner's manual should let you know if you car can be flat-towed or if you need a tow dolly. If it can be flat-towed. you would need to set your steering and transmission to 'tow' mode and it will keep your car from suffering any damage. If you have any other questions, please let me know. I would be glad to help!

Would be easier and quicker to just use a normal towing A-Frame.
