  • 3:53 instant action button.

  • i noticed your slight movements to sticks was consistant. you never pulled back when it glitched. you are a hella good flyer. i would never myself fly inverted with people in close quarters though.

  • @1helidude

The camera is deceiving, there was more space then what appears to be. I will admit it may have not been the smartest thing to do, but I am comfortable and fly within my abilities. Also note I flew it up high before going inverted in case I needed to recover. I could have done it on the deck, but those water logged noodles made it heavy and slow. Still very fun though :)

  • Lol i tried the same thing but i put water bottles on the landing gear and then i was flying it around and turned it around for a nice landing but then it flipped up side down

  • Did I here someone say ....that's about $800.

    I'll have to watch again...

  • hey, i also got a t-rex 450 and was doing some hovering and it went straight into the pool. i havent try flying it yet. How well does yours work after you dry it up?

  • @omegaweapon2008

basic crash items from a boom strike (boom, blades, spindle, ect) and a new ESC, good to go. It has since been sold and is teaching a new pilot to fly... :)

  • just possible the reciever got wet and sorted the cyclic

  • @dangerousdesigns

Yup, that is possible too. the satellite receiver of the spektrum system could have easily been soaked as well.

  • Looks like you were trying to get it wet. You're just asking for trouble. Really funny though.

  • yeah i did exactely what you said I started with a simulater then helicopter

  • how long have you flown helicopters is it hard I flown for 2 years and I am ok I Iiked and love your videos so I had to subscribe please reply asap and thank you very much

  • @nitrorcfreak100

Flew my first helicopter (Nexus 30) in early 2002, been at it since...actually, going out flying in a few hours :)

It is very hard, but not impossible, you just need the patience to learn, and the patience to practice...also, having a job to pay for it helps. Start yourself off with a simulator, learn to fly from that, a small electric, even smaller then the one in this video would be a great way to start the hobby.

  • Lucky guys. Ever saw a shortage on that size of LiPos used in your Rex? You'd be surprised ... ;)

  • @Mr2flames You'd also be surprised just how bad of a conductor water is. You'd need to push at least several dozen amps through whatever conductive path you have to "short" the batteries. Water is simply not going to do it in a situation like this. It's water, not copper.

  • Least you had a lifegurd

  • isnt it great anyone that flies loves to fly more than likely and whenever they crash they usually have a smile on there face there like awesome even though it costs more money to fix it

  • next time use soap before washing it up ;)

  • 3:49 for crash

  • now go 3d and dive in that water

  • Funny, all people say: oooooohhhhhhhh! only the pilot, he saying: Yeaaaaahhhhh!^^

  • cool ! man

  • why you laugh? This is not funny! All the electronics is fucked up! Are you rich?? When i crash my hely, i see the hell! Thinking about money and money......

  • its ok hes rich

  • Enjoyed the video!!! Next you could tie a dixie cup on the bottom of the chopper..., pick up water from the pool and put out a raging BBQ pit fire.

  • waterproof the electronics and put an 800 kv outrunner in it running the blades at 50-100 rpm and you have and underwater helicopter

  • 3:51 for dah crash!

  • great reaction from the dude without hair

  • Waha, so cool... still flying... one second later -> wuuusch

  • trex probaly hates to see videos like these with typical americans abusing their products, but we enjoy it!

  • @magicmike1122

Canadian actually ;) the trex is a POS, and it needed a bath :)

  • @FuriousVigor if i had to shose id rather get a beam e4. but for now ill stick with my jr vibe sg. :)

  • @FuriousVigor Why do you think the trex is a POS?

  • Why???

  • wow nice im just rtying to get the hang of it so far im good at crashing .

how long you been in to this heli stuff ....??

  • @paddywagons104

Thanks. I have been slowly going at it for approximately 10 years now.

  • u really need 2 made a water tight cage 4 ur esc! :P

  • Wow that was alsome however I wouldn't even try that with my sr my gunnie pig heli

  • nice flight, great heli, glad to hear its flying again.... did not look like a dumb thumb, the tail looks like it came under really hard... what caused the glitch do you know?

    thanks

  • @1995rchelipilot

the ESC was mounted on the bottom of the frame, which is not exactly water proof.

This was the second flight in the pool with it, and the 450 is my beater of beaters, was just having fun with it :)

  • @FuriousVigor oh ok so this is your bashing heli... i use them to try new stuff! much cheaper to fix than a raptor 50!!!! and thanks for the quick comment!

  • Hey guys this heli a little yellow.

maybe he can swim litlle bit else a yellow submarine.

    Let's try!!!!

  • let the bits out, new esc and lipo and then you should be good to go

  • @o0dekker0o

didnt need new lipo, only esc, lipo is still being used today :)

  • wow that was great flying vid until you crashed that butifull machine

  • Someone who can fly inverted like that in that small area, isn't going to cock up like that, I vote heli fault :)

  • This is a value lesson helis aren't yellow submarines

  • I had that same thing happen to me without the pool water tho !!! Its all in the fun of the hobby..dry it off get a new esc and fly again, bro !!!! good flight and water landings!!!

  • Nice pilot skill man! Wish I could fly like that! But I just bought me own HK 450 GT iam on a budget and also life near water!!! O and please post some more crashed ehy! Greetings from hollan!

  • Wait, the battery still worked after that? Thats impressive haha

  • thats why get a 2.4 GHZ transmitter!

  • Woah:D just woah

  • Woah:D just woah :D

  • for those who think the crash was dumb thumbed you are simple you can clearly see that it was a glitch the helicopter went back to neautral settings and dumped itself in to the water and you seen the guy flying he knows what hes doing and would not be that bad this guy is a good pilot and that was clearly not dumb thumbed

  • @paddydorney

    Thank you.

  • For those of you who think it was dumb thumbed, bugger off. Tired of hearing it. I rarely dumb thumb, and NEVER in a hover no matter what orientation. Read the description, as it is 100% accurate. If i had have dumb thumbed it, i would have happily admitted it. Since i did not, please, piss off.

  • Nice looking heli though.

How did it end up? Guess the electronics didn't like that. Over here in Norway, I'm afraid even to bring my T-Rex out if it's snowing:)

  • Thanks :)

not too bad actually, most of the damage was done with a boom strike. only the ESC was fried in the salt water pool, everything else works fine. the salt water caused a small amoutn of rust on a few bearings, but overall it did well. i just had it flying a couple of weeks ago with a torque tube upgrade.

  • Good thing the glitch didn't spin the heli into one of you guys.

  • yeah, that thought came to my mind. if it had to glitch, it happened at a good spot and time.

  • Cool video.

    Did the heli recover?

  • yup. there was the normal damage from a boom strike when it hit the water. the only electronics that didn't appreciate the salt water was the ESC. everything else fired right up.

its back in the air again :)
