"Today is all about patterns!!" >Matrix Glitch<...............Pattern Pattern Pattern Pattern Pattern Pattern Pattern Pattern Pattern Pattern Pattern. The word has lost all meaning after watching this video.
Great advice. My question is I fell in love with a black herring bone suit but I'm new to suits and not sure what to wear with it. Please give me a hand.
@allhailox If the suit is black you can use whatever colors you like for a shirt and tie, but you are stuck exclusively to black shoes. But since it is a herringbone pattern and not a solid, make sure you follow Aaron's advice on this video. Pick up a pale blue, off white/cream, and white shirt--these work with anything.
Rocking advice as always. I always tended to get stumped on what patterns matched with each other. In fact I found going shopping for the right clothes downright intimidating!
Thanks a lot for clearing all of this up. Keep making videos, you're helping me a ton.
Good advice. Can you give some advice on expensive jeans (True Religion, Rock and Republic..) are they worth it? what are some good cheaper alternatives..I like Guess jeans a lot, but I thought you might have some other ideas.
If you live near a Buckle store, go try on the brand BKE, they are great and under a hundred dollars. I think Guess and Buffalo are also great and much cheaper then the expensive pairs you mentioned. I also "HATE" true religion. They are ridiculous.
How do you go about choosing your ties when at the store? I find this difficult because I don't have half my wardrove with me to compare and see how it works. What I've been doing is taking photos with the iPhone of my wardrobe so it's "with me" when I'm at the store. Thoughts?
Aaron: I agree. I would have said two is the right amount, but I think that the example you gave shows that you can do three.
I'm interested -- and I'll have to check your other videos to see if you have already answered this -- to hear your advice regarding matching ties with suits in terms of colors.
I get into trouble with ties/shirts. I think a lot guys have the same problem as well.
amazing video as always Aaron, im a conservative man myself when it comes to patterns I try and go for two patterns maximum otherwise I find I look a bit too crazy :D
I hate see how people wear fedoras with EVERYTHING anymore. It is one of my biggest pet peeves. I see people in un buttoon shirts with a tee shirt under it and a black fedora all of which dont match in color. Its everywhere and I feel its destroying the potential that the hat can have to really complement a nice outfit.
absolutely awesome informative video.. this should give many ppl infos and directions n how to match different patterned clothings. your video sare awesome. i feel like i always have to post a thank you comment for every vid you post man. :) thank you, keep posting more
i would have never paired a checker board pattern with a pin stripe pattern until now....now that i see it....it actually looks nice....i always thought one solid and one pattern....very informative...
Informing as always..Aaron you rock my friend...keep the vids coming ....a vid on accessories like one of the earlier comments said...scarfs hats etc...winter coats...it would also be great for you take take us with you when you go out shopping in the stores that you frequent...once again thanks.
(1) When one wears suits/jackets with no tie, is it wrong to lay down the shirt collar on top of the lapel? Or should we always keep the shirt collar covered by the lapel (I hope my question is clear)... Also, what about shirts and v-neck sweaters... Should we pull the shirt collar out and over the v-neck, or keep the collar tucked inside the v-neck?
(2) And what is the difference between a jacket and a blazer and a suit and a tuxedo?
it's funny how there is a misconception that matching is literally about matching everything you are wearing as far as colors/patterns. I like what you said about balance :)
i love how you combined the pattern of the pinstripe checkerboard and paisley...i have troube picking a tie...color combinations seem more dificult for me. i sometimes think just stick to the maniquin its a safe bet when it comes to clothes.
Great stuff, could you make another about matching just colors. I know that may be basic but i have huge problems figuring it out. I even use a color wheel but i just can't get it.
great vid..

great advise Arron. A solid tie would work just fine with your outfit right?
brucewanabe 1 year ago
Aaron, Does this also apply to solid colors?
As in, if there's Solid-Solid-Solid, does that need to be changed up?
Or, how about 2 solids, with something else? does the solid-solid need to go?
What are your thoughts?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Aaron, I had 2 quick not-so-related questions.
Thanks!
