  • great vid..

  • can you do this with shorts and shirts? lol just wondering

  • You should just tell the truth and say people who wear loads of patterns look awful lol :L

  • "Today is all about patterns!!" >Matrix Glitch<...............Pattern Pattern Pattern Pattern Pattern Pattern Pattern Pattern Pattern Pattern Pattern. The word has lost all meaning after watching this video.

  • Awesome videos thanks for the advice. SUBSCRIBED!

  • I like what he's wearing. It has a down to earth feel

  • is it wrong if i in general don't like patterns?

  • awesome excellent thanx!!!

  • Great advice. My question is I fell in love with a black herring bone suit but I'm new to suits and not sure what to wear with it. Please give me a hand.

  • @allhailox If the suit is black you can use whatever colors you like for a shirt and tie, but you are stuck exclusively to black shoes. But since it is a herringbone pattern and not a solid, make sure you follow Aaron's advice on this video. Pick up a pale blue, off white/cream, and white shirt--these work with anything.

  • Sweet! Good to know I'm steering my guys in the right direction. Love your videos!

  • aaron can i match my vest and tie or my tie and suspenders and i wanna know whats ure views on suspendes

  • aaron whatdo yo think about plaid dress shirt

  • Can you do a video on how to choose your shoes and all clothes ?I mean what type of colors of shoes match pants and jackets

  • great advise Arron. A solid tie would work just fine with your outfit right?

  • Aaron, Does this also apply to solid colors?

As in, if there's Solid-Solid-Solid, does that need to be changed up?

Or, how about 2 solids, with something else? does the solid-solid need to go?

    What are your thoughts?

    Thanks in advance.

  • i like your old intro

  • Dude, awesome video.

Were did you learned all this stuff ?

  • Sorta just picked it up along the way.

  • Rocking advice as always. I always tended to get stumped on what patterns matched with each other. In fact I found going shopping for the right clothes downright intimidating!

Thanks a lot for clearing all of this up. Keep making videos, you're helping me a ton.

  • Good advice. Can you give some advice on expensive jeans (True Religion, Rock and Republic..) are they worth it? what are some good cheaper alternatives..I like Guess jeans a lot, but I thought you might have some other ideas.

  • If you live near a Buckle store, go try on the brand BKE, they are great and under a hundred dollars. I think Guess and Buffalo are also great and much cheaper then the expensive pairs you mentioned. I also "HATE" true religion. They are ridiculous.

  • @AlphaMconsulting What about nudies?

  • This was the best tip ever Aaron. Loved you for this one.

  • lesson learned

  • Hey!! thats the blazer you got from the thrift store, yeah?

Thrift stores are going to be my new treasure box

  • Can you do a video on color matching for clothing? 5/5 stars. Excellent information and taste.

  • How do you go about choosing your ties when at the store? I find this difficult because I don't have half my wardrove with me to compare and see how it works. What I've been doing is taking photos with the iPhone of my wardrobe so it's "with me" when I'm at the store. Thoughts?

  • Great idea! It is hard to buy an item for an outfit with it at home.

  • @AlphaMconsulting Are you Italian ?

  • Thank you this was very helpful!

  • Aaron: I agree. I would have said two is the right amount, but I think that the example you gave shows that you can do three.

I'm interested -- and I'll have to check your other videos to see if you have already answered this -- to hear your advice regarding matching ties with suits in terms of colors.

I get into trouble with ties/shirts. I think a lot guys have the same problem as well.

  • simply great! Thanks Aaron!

  • Interesting stuff but I don't think men will commonly where more then 3 patterns anyway.

  • amazing video as always Aaron, im a conservative man myself when it comes to patterns I try and go for two patterns maximum otherwise I find I look a bit too crazy :D

  • very interesting, i like it. you got your point across! haha

  • Could you do a video about hats? I'm not sure what clothes would work with a, say, trilby, or if a fedora is ever acceptable on casual clothing.

  • I hate see how people wear fedoras with EVERYTHING anymore. It is one of my biggest pet peeves. I see people in un buttoon shirts with a tee shirt under it and a black fedora all of which dont match in color. Its everywhere and I feel its destroying the potential that the hat can have to really complement a nice outfit.

  • I do need to do a video on hats!

  • Agreed!!

  • absolutely awesome informative video.. this should give many ppl infos and directions n how to match different patterned clothings. your video sare awesome. i feel like i always have to post a thank you comment for every vid you post man. :) thank you, keep posting more

  • No thank you needed my friend. Just as long as people get something from this, I'm happy to do it!

  • Hey Aaron, as usual great video, i was wondering can we have a sneak peek into ur wardrobe?? :)

  • That would entail me straightening it up!

  • omg please do it!!!

  • i would have never paired a checker board pattern with a pin stripe pattern until now....now that i see it....it actually looks nice....i always thought one solid and one pattern....very informative...

  • Informing as always..Aaron you rock my friend...keep the vids coming ....a vid on accessories like one of the earlier comments said...scarfs hats etc...winter coats...it would also be great for you take take us with you when you go out shopping in the stores that you frequent...once again thanks.

  • are floral patterns okay?

  • Floral pants...not okay! Floral shirt...some times okay. Floral Ties....great!

  • Thanks :)

  • Good video dude... Made sense and would like to see more like this. : )

  • You made a lot of sense trust me ;) oh and thank you for the previous video suggesting the T Gel shampoo, it works a lot better than selsun blue

  • LOVE IT!! i was really missing your vids, you haven't dont one in a while! this was brilliant!

    keep em coming Aaron!!

  • Great vid

  • Where do you shop for your clothes?

  • I'm sure he goes many places, why limit yourself?

  • I shop all over the place. In this video, shirt from Banana Republic, vest from Macy's and jacket....thrift store for $4.50.

  • How about body piercings? Like earrings?

  • Hi Aaron, I had 2 quick not-so-related questions.

    (1) When one wears suits/jackets with no tie, is it wrong to lay down the shirt collar on top of the lapel? Or should we always keep the shirt collar covered by the lapel (I hope my question is clear)... Also, what about shirts and v-neck sweaters... Should we pull the shirt collar out and over the v-neck, or keep the collar tucked inside the v-neck?

    (2) And what is the difference between a jacket and a blazer and a suit and a tuxedo?

    Thanks!

  • keep the collar tucked in.

  • @indranil1703 I would keep it tucked in...always.

  • Great video, I've wondered about this alot.

  • great vid aaron

  • Love the pasley tie with the pinstrip jacket.

  • it's funny how there is a misconception that matching is literally about matching everything you are wearing as far as colors/patterns. I like what you said about balance :)

  • I know what you are saying!

  • Great video Aaron! That's what I'm talking about!! Very Helpful and it was easy to understand!

  • i love how you combined the pattern of the pinstripe checkerboard and paisley...i have troube picking a tie...color combinations seem more dificult for me. i sometimes think just stick to the maniquin its a safe bet when it comes to clothes.

  • Great stuff, could you make another about matching just colors. I know that may be basic but i have huge problems figuring it out. I even use a color wheel but i just can't get it.

  • what about hats and other outer wear like scarves and such? any tips on those?

  • I will get to this soon!

  • Great job, A!! Love the mixing of patterns that contrast but compliment one another.

  • Those ties were awesome!

  • the message was really clear

    awesome video

  • It was very understandable, Aaron. Thanks for the tips. Great vid. Will definitely look for good patterns.

  • I'm still not so sure!

  • nice...keep it up and thank you for another great tip man

  • How would you contrast flat front pants or Jeans?

  • Not talking so much about pants. Jeans go with everything.

  • woo am i really the first view? great video!
