nice mix! i just bought me some str8-80s and there look sweet, what kind of mixer are u using? oh yeah and do ytou ever get that noise when you tap the turntable kinda like a microphone taping niose? thanks
it's nothing i have the str8-80's and all is that you have alot of bass q-bert talked about that way back and he was using tech 1200's so its not that you have a cheaper turntable.
I know what you mean, it was kind of no fun to set up the 1200s recently. They're grounded internally, so there's no need for the grounding cables. Are you having trouble with static?
Hey just to let you know if you say you like music you should like all forms because music defines it as a whole... so as a dj you should like ALL forms of music or you mixes will be narrow minded and your possible crowd and event opportunities narrow greatly.
right, and I have polka, accordion, bagpipe, gospel type music on vinyl but people don't hire DJs to play it, and its not my favorite, I can appreciate all types of music, I just don't prefer playing/listening to all of it
They're Stanton Str8-80s, thats a feature of them. They don't need grounding either, so theres a button to disable the electric brake to get the effect I used at the end of the mix. They also have a key correction button, but it chops the music up so much I don't use it, I just use the key correction in Serato.

In the video I was using a Numark DM1050 mixer but I've recently upgraded to a Denon dx 120.
I do get a thump when I tap the tts, that's a characteristic of cheaper turntables.

Nice!
Do you think these turntables will be good for some simple scratching? Will it depend on needles or slipmats?
Thanks!!

Good for simple scratching, you'll need slipmats, they should come with them...
