Gladiator should be able to launch Hulk into space. Then just use his laser eyes to push him into the sun. Hulk is strong, but Gladiator has done much stronger things. Hulk's regeneration might let him get back up after a few hits, but Gladiator has too many ways to kill Hulk. If his strength and laser eyes can't kill Hulk, launching him into the Sun definately will.
I like the way he breaks down fights I've never heard of the self-confid. thing with Gladiator. I always thought of him as a much weaker copy of superman. He can fly, has great speed and strength. He has heat vison and freeze breath is also weak against a certain type of rare radiation. I'm kind of suprised dc never sued.
Oh and the only way they could make superman beat doomsday was to make him aware and know fear so that made him scared to die and made him not go all out as he was doing b4. Just look at recent fights hulk has lost to both red-hulk and skaar.

it's a bit ridiculous, 150 tons class, when you see gladiator lifting a building or hulk something bigger, much more heavier than that. Marvel's author should try to be more coherent, you can not make this kind of analyse that means nothing. DC's comic at least don't mention weight, maybe cause they don't know how heavy a mountain or a spaceship can be
@espector92 yea, thats a bit annoying. but its different comic writers, and they can write whatever they want. it would run much more smoothly if one or two particular authors would write the character comics on their own. but i still enjoy marvel comics. but some DC comics are going way out of hand with superman prime and stuff. its quite annoying seeing how far they are going with his character. i would like to see more from DC than just superman and batman.

your starting point of 100 tonnes is too low, i believe spiderman's strength is comparable to 100 tonnes (it states in one of his biogs.) and spiderman is one of the weakest marvel characters.
@amartinez97 ... i imagine there are a variety of sources for the the individual characteristics of superhero characters. even if spiderman can only lift ten tonnes, this still makes the starting point of 100 tonnes too low for the hulk, because the hulk is a lot more than ten times stronger than spiderman.

@Grader345 no, i doubt it. juggernaut has yet to beat hulk in a fair fight. juggernaut only managed to beat hulk once, and that was when hulk was in a weaker form called professor hulk, and he is the weakest incarnation. if he gets too angry, he turns back into banner. so hulk was holding back. plus hulk knocks juggernaut out cold later in the issues. hulk either defeated juggernaut or overpowered him in every other fight, and sometimes outsmart when he wants to get rid of him.
@DaSora2 The only time Juggernaut ever "beat" Hulk, was in issue #402, where Juggernaut was in street clothes, and the Hulk didn't know who he was. Trust me, if Hulk knew who he was, the fight would have been a lot different. Anyways, 2 issues later, Hulk hits Juggernaut 2 times and puts him on his ass.

Though I got to say, while I agree with the outcome of this one, I can't quite say I cosign the who fight. A guy like Gladiator has got to put up a little more of a decent than that. He's a Blaster/Paragon for goodness sakes. Hulk will still win out in the end (most likely), but Glad's going to hold out longer than that before his countenance falls.

Gladiator Wins-his confidence is his main weakness alright but he is a nobile warrior and it would take a lot to lower that confidence (exept poor writing)in fact he would probaly laugh at the savage beast throwing one of his fits,plus a true warrior confidence wouldnt failter in the face of a true challance,defently an underutilised character
Depends what tactics Gladiator uses. If he catches hulk unawares from behind at super speed and carries him into the sun, then the hulk is defeated before he even knows what's happening.
@shaunographic i dont know. certain types of radiation( such as gamma) is gladiator's weakness. courage isnt the only weakness gladiator has. thats why hulk was able to pummel gladiator so easily, cuz his gamma energy is gladiator's weakness.
Gladiator didnt look to be getting weak in the Hulk annual in which they fought (although it has been years since i read it so I could be wrong). If memory serves me, Hulk had to throw him into a nuclear reactor or something simular in order to defeat him.

you got the numbers to enrich your opinions, why don’t you review some Marvel TV animated series? it could be interesting if you compare them with the original ones (I mean the comicbooks of course)... for instance in my opinion the new Avengers series it's a c**p, Wasp is horrible, Hulk is just stupid and nothing else, etc... instead the old Spidey TV 90 show was very well done (even if some strange things such as Black Cat and Moebius).

NO WAY! Gladiator would destroy hulk. A little science to suport this, assuming light speed capability. Impact with Hulk would Vaporize him at that speed. Seeing that Gladiator can survive the death of a star "super nova" This resulting explosion would do nothing to gladiator.

I dont know whos the bigger dork-This guy who literally quoted the marvel.com character bio for gladiator- or me for knowing that he did, but one things for sure, the simple fact that hulk gets exponentially stronger, the madder he gets is no guarantee of victory, when gladiator has a much larger range of powers and can employ strategy. Just look at recent fights hulk has lost to both red-hulk and skaar.

it's a bit ridiculous, 150 tons class, when you see gladiator lifting a building or hulk something bigger, much more heavier than that. Marvel's author should try to be more coherent, you can not make this kind of analyse that means nothing. DC's comic at least don't mention weight, maybe cause they don't know how heavy a mountain or a spaceship can be

@espector92 yea, thats a bit annoying. but its different comic writers, and they can write whatever they want. it would run much more smoothly if one or two particular authors would write the character comics on their own. but i still enjoy marvel comics. but some DC comics are going way out of hand with superman prime and stuff. its quite annoying seeing how far they are going with his character. i would like to see more from DC than just superman and batman.

gladiaot is 100+ tons (same with hulk) so he can lift a anything between 100 and...infinity (if you want to strech it like that) his streangth has prooven to be enough to rip planets from orbit (meaning he can movie them) Hulk scence he cant fly has not done so but beating glads proove's he can.

@amartinez97 ... i imagine there are a variety of sources for the the individual characteristics of superhero characters. even if spiderman can only lift ten tonnes, this still makes the starting point of 100 tonnes too low for the hulk, because the hulk is a lot more than ten times stronger than spiderman.

@Grader345 no, i doubt it. juggernaut has yet to beat hulk in a fair fight. juggernaut only managed to beat hulk once, and that was when hulk was in a weaker form called professor hulk, and he is the weakest incarnation. if he gets too angry, he turns back into banner. so hulk was holding back. plus hulk knocks juggernaut out cold later in the issues. hulk either defeated juggernaut or overpowered him in every other fight, and sometimes outsmart when he wants to get rid of him.

@DaSora2 The only time Juggernaut ever "beat" Hulk, was in issue #402, where Juggernaut was in street clothes, and the Hulk didn't know who he was. Trust me, if Hulk knew who he was, the fight would have been a lot different. Anyways, 2 issues later, Hulk hits Juggernaut 2 times and puts him on his ass.

@amartinez97 i agree with kenpachi. rulk used these stupid S.H.I.E.L.D weapons which shouldnt do shit to abomination nor hulk. if the fight was actual common sense, both abomination and hulk should bea the hell out of rulk.

@amartinez97 well before abomination used to have more resistance than hulk, but ONLY in the beginning. hulk beat the army when they were using adamantium ammunition, it showed no effect at all on hulk. that would surely not work on hulk.

Gladiator Wins-his confidence is his main weakness alright but he is a nobile warrior and it would take a lot to lower that confidence (exept poor writing)in fact he would probaly laugh at the savage beast throwing one of his fits,plus a true warrior confidence wouldnt failter in the face of a true challance,defently an underutilised character

Depends what tactics Gladiator uses. If he catches hulk unawares from behind at super speed and carries him into the sun, then the hulk is defeated before he even knows what's happening.

@shaunographic i dont know. certain types of radiation( such as gamma) is gladiator's weakness. courage isnt the only weakness gladiator has. thats why hulk was able to pummel gladiator so easily, cuz his gamma energy is gladiator's weakness.

Gladiator didnt look to be getting weak in the Hulk annual in which they fought (although it has been years since i read it so I could be wrong). If memory serves me, Hulk had to throw him into a nuclear reactor or something simular in order to defeat him.

@shaunographic yes, in fact he did. and hulk is made of gamma radiation, which is similar because.....hulk was made in a core of a nuclear bomb of course. so yes, gladiator is weak against hulk. thats why gladiator was easily pummeled and beaten through out the whole fight.

Hulk fans can rage all they like, but there is a comic where Superman defeats the Hulk, Talk about World War Hulk all you like, There is no comic where the Hulk defeats Superman. That doesn't mean Hulk lore and history aren't very cool. but Superman wins.
