I get it now, if I lived in constant denial of my conscience indulging in what I know is wrong, or running away from my heart and the one who created me and died for me I guess I'd get pretty upset too when he was brought up in a youtube video.
@GypsiiJane money is not the root of all evil, religion is the root of all evil. Millions of people have been killed in the name of god. Religions fight against other religions to prove who has the better god. Religion is evil, think free and live free.
I am not Christian and I understand the "giving" idea as being religious but why giving to the church .IS GOD THE CHURCH ??? OR THEY ACT AS GOD. Christians needs to think about this role that the church is playing. Giving is good for yourself it is true teach you to not to be selfish but is this money that I am giving is going to the right destination? WHY THE PEOPLE WHO WORKS WITHIN THE CHURCH ( e.g. PRIEST OR POPE) ARE RICH? not to mention that most of them are not working. Does GOD want this?
@fkuwait as a Christian who has had the unfortunate experience of watching the tithes get thrown in a pit by some in church leadership I agree, my wife and I now diversify our tithes and church is still a part of that but NOT all. still it is typical that the most common and effective charities are Christian. either way it is of stewardship to try and give to solidly established and effective charities. also either way I am grateful when non believers give to charities of their choices.
@jordanr1504 Try donating to a reputable charity. Even if you don't believe in Christ, He wants us to care for the poor and needy. It's more than just a Christian thing, it's being a good human being.
It told me awhile to be a giver also. It's the right thing to do. At 10% you won't even miss it and you will feel so much better. It's the gogly thing to do and also the right thing to do.

I'm confused, why is this whole seminar targeted towards getting these people to tithe? This is obnoxious.

@jordanr1504 My church isn't boring. We have a blast at my church, but I'm one of those "Holy Roller" Apostolics.
