I do lighten some pistons to reduce reciprocating weight. Knowing where to remove the material is most important. Your comment is well taken because I have observed the best of pistons ruined in inexperienced hands. I am a JE piston WD and sell a lost of pistons for Porsche engines. We have the ability to do a CNC undercrown profile that can reduce the amount of weight by several grams. Lighter pistons are alway a benefit for the 356, 911 and 996/998 engines. Regards, John...
