@JLOZANO2 Not really. Have you seen a Texans game when he played for them? His o-line was a massive failure. Plus, he still had decent seasons with him and Andre at the helm.

Regardless if it was Carr's fault or the offensive lines fault, the Texans didn't accomplish anything from 02 to 06.

I beg to differ, I am houston texans fan to the bone... but we screwed him hard. While most draft selections that year sat around on the sidelines, holding clipboards, and taking notes, we threw him into the shark tank to be mauled. From a die hard houston fan, chuch.

you guys are crazy. The houston texans didn't screw him. The guy simply sucked. The guy sucked with Carolina and the niners as well. Look back at the houston games, the line did suck, but I can't count how many times he would just hold on to the ball forever because he can't read defenses.The guy simply never had the skills to succeed in the NFL.

@ECLRG10 carr didnt suck, not a Houston fan but watched Carr since he was drafted. 2002 he got sacked the most in the NFL, only a year later he broke the record for most sacks in a season. believe it or not that can make or break a QB's career. Especially being an expansion team with rookies and free agents everywhere. He was very consistant passer and from 2004-2006 was top 5 in passer rating & in 06 led the leage. When you have a bhorrible line like Houston did, of course you think he sucks

@nategomez832, eat a bowl of mixed dicks. Texans my home team, and rollin wit'em. You wouldn't expect an expansion team to have A+ lineman which I do agree with you on and yes capers did suck! David carr was ok, he's an excellent back up. Maybe with the right coach he coulda been somethin

Mann I think the Texans messed him up. Its unfortunate that he played for a team with no linemen. I think he was the most sacked quarterback cause he played for the sorry ass Texans and Dom Capers sucked i dont care if he got a superbowl with greenbay he should have never been a head coach he screwed over David Carr

@nategomez832 to be honest im a die hard titans fan but i keep up with the 49ers b/c thats who i rooted for before the oilers left houston for tennessee. thats how i found out david carr was playing and remembered, he's the poor kid from fresno state who got his shit rocked for 3 or 4 years down in houston. he would have been good on a non expansion team
