All starts with free Personality Test and the inexpensive Dianetic booklet. Scientology entice you with promises of solutions for common problems in life. Later you're compelled to pay higher and higher so more can be revealed. As you go, Scientology discretely start the lay down of its agenda for you. Your brainwashing has began. If you have no money they'll offer you a slave job. You'll work for life for SCN in exchange of courses. If you still have money they'll suck up until you're broke.

I get rather angry when people start leveling charges of "Cult". Who is to say what is a Cult and what is not a Cult? Slamming a group of people with "Cult" label is no different from what people used to yell "Nigger", "Jew". It is blind bigotry against religion.

There is vast research and literature that gives an in depth analysis of what a cult is. That Scientology fits the bill is by their own design and in no way akin to a racial slur. Your argument is nonsensical and idiotic.

Comparing specified propaganda to obtuse sociological/anthropological study, or comparing a terminology to explain the designs/practices of a group to unfounded racial slurs shows nothing more than the fact that you are well indoctrinated in the cult mentality of, "never defend, always attack."

The theological core of cults is rarely the problem, it's the practice of debilitating it's members and slandering it's opponents that designates these groups as a cult. Your claim of bigotry is moot.

People can believe whatever they want, but if they are coerced or threatened into those beliefs, as Scientology does by collecting ALL personal info on it's members to use at a later time, then the organized "religion" becomes a cult.

Perhaps you should learn about the practices of groups like Scientology before you rally to their defense?
