Hi there ! I completely succeeded to do what you said :D. However towards the end after restoring I get the tab where you have to chose your language, country, setting for network etc... However at the end it asks a SIM card that was given with the phone... I need to unlock the phone and there is no way I can go to the home screen.. I would LOVE a fast reply as I'm doing this for a friend of mine. Great video though, it would be even greater if you helped me on this one ! Thumbs up MW Technology

@tomceulemans333 i don't know why it's doing that for some people, but the only way to actually fix it is to do it again. just double check to make sure your clicking on the hacktivate feature and you;ll have to use itunes to install the custom ipsw file again. hopefully it'll activate this time :)

@129theking Hey i just tested the link it's working for me, maybe try a different browser. and remember that to unlock your iPhone 4 you need to have a preserved iPhone baseband.

I followed your video and did everything like you said BUT after restoring the iPhone with iTunes, i get to a screen where I need to activate the iphone (it asks me to choose language, country and Wi Fi and then tries to activate) but I always get to the screen where it says the the iPhone couldnt be activated. @ninush252 did you choose hacktivate in the general section of pwnagetool? becuase it should have activated it but if it didn't something might be causing a problem. other people are having the same issue as well but there aren't many solutions. the best would be if you can get your hands on a sim from the company your iPhone was originally associated with this way you'll eliminate the need for hacktivation everytime.

@MoreThanApple for that you can also use redsnow it has the capability to replace the iphone baseband to the ipad baseband so you can unlock using ultrasnow.

Hi i did follow exactly as you told but it is giving an error finally that only compatibale sim cards from a supported carrier may be used to activate iphone. please insert the sim card that came with your iphone or visit a supported carrier's store to receive a replacement sim. @edgarias00 Not sure how the turbo sim works, but yeah i'm guessing you could jailbreak it on 4.2.1 and then use the turbo sim on it. But if you want to update to 5.0.1 you have to check if the turbo sim is compatible with iOS 5.

@lvalenzuela24 if your buying a used iphone the baseband must have to have been previously preserved. only 01.59.00 is unlockable anything higher is not. check the iphone before buying.

I don't want to demoralize any of you but, there is currently no unlock available for baseband 4.11.08. Those are the consequences of upgrading to a stock ispw. This should be a lesson to you all not to upgrade with a stock ispw and to instead use custom ispws whenever possible. So basically all of us who are on baseband 4.11.08 we still have to wait till gevey sim or ultrasnow can support our basebands.

@TheRickeMovies wait..sorry i forgot what your question was. is your device on the iPad baseband? because iPhone 3gs devices cannot be restored using iTunes...you;; always get an error. you have to use snowbreeze or pwnagetool to make a custom firmware and restore.
