As for your arguement that it does not matter whether you believe Jesus is the 1 true God or there are 3, read John Ch. 8. Jesus is being persecuted for claiming to be God. In vs. 24 He says "ye shall die in your sins if ye believe not that I am He." Also in the old test. God says "at my Name every knee shall bow, every tongue shall confess." New test. says "at the Name of Jesus every knee shall bow.." Also God calls himself the "I AM" in old test. In the new test. Jesus calls himself the "I AM"

Sure it means the same, but there is no power in saying Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Think of it this way. If you write a check and sign it father or son that check is worthless. To validate the check you must sign your name on it. That's where the power is. Without your name, that check is no more than a piece of paper.

Baptism is mandatory for salvation. It is not an option, neither is it just a symbol. You are not saved before you are baptized. Romans Chp. 9-11 is dealing with the salvation of the Jews. They are blinded right now, so that we can be saved, but they will be saved once they realize who Jesus is.. that is what Romans is talking about. People were saved in the book of Acts. Also in Acts 19, those baptized under John's baptism heard the word and were baptized again in the name of the Lord Jesus.

Remember that the holy ghost was not poured out until after Jesus' death and resurrection..as long as he was on the earth, there wasn't a need for that. He is the holy Ghost, but after he was resurrected, he told them he would send back the holy ghost as a comforter. The thief was saved by repentance and faith. We are still in the church age, which began on the day of Pentecost and that requires baptism in Jesus name and being filled with the holy ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues.

My Baptist Pastor just taught that Acts 2:38, "Repentance" and baptism in Jesus Name is being preached to the Jews who rejected Jesus as being the Son of God and Messiah. It was blasphemy for Jews to acknowledge Jesus as being the Messiah. Trinitarian baptism would not have MADE them take on Jesus' ministry, don't forget there were others baptizing too. Jesus commanded trinity baptism to His disciples who had already acknowledged Him as the Messiah....I hope this helps.

That is a lie from the pit and not even supported by scripture... The salvation of the Jews is in Romans chp 9, 10 and 11. Remember that when the holy ghost was poured out there were more than Jews in the upper room. Also, in Acts 19, those that were baptized under John's baptism heard the word preached and got baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Baptism is Jesus name is mentioned at least 6 times in the Acts.. out of the mouth of 2 or three scriptures let every word be established.

As for Matt. 28:19. The original text was written in Greek. The Greek word meaning "and" can also be translated to say only, so, whose, same, etc. They just translated it that way because it reads easier to say "and the." By taking the original text you could say "name of the Father who the son" or "father same the son" and so on. You have to ask yourself why no one was ever baptized that way in the bible. I know it sounds petty if it means the same but I'm telling you the power is in the NAME.
