I swear that everytime I hear that part at 3:05, I just lose it. It has to be one of the most emotional, strong, and defiant buildups I have ever heard. I normally enjoy viking metal, but I have not come across many things that are as raw as the bass buildup and the point at 3:24 when the guitar just lets loose. I just get a vivid picture of human muscle being pushed and exhausted until it is not unlike steel.
Guys, when this band were going strong they were probably seen as mainstream music, and people were probably talking about the good old 40's and 50's and how they produced great music.
I agree blown70chevelle.., that's why all the great artist of today are all throw backs and where greatly influenced by great artist from the past, mostly from the 70s era.
This song is timeless. It was originally released in 1977, however I believe it could be released today and still top the charts! .... and if you're on a date, and the other person in the car disagrees, kick them the fuck out!
@65ChevyElco old school music will never die! ppl are to blind to give it a chance. Instead they wanna dance like a fukin epileptic, to stupid beats with no soul behind em. Wake up the 70s created the best music.
@blown70chevelle who are you to say what music has soul behind it? I love and appreciate the classics, but the electro & hip hop I listen to has boatloads of soul. (albeit not really comparable to the soul of music of the 60's and 70's) have hope for the music of the future people, there are still talented artists out there
@IIEvoGamingII I'm 21. Kids these days act like kids did in the 1970's thinking that their generations music is the best. The problem is that we don't take music as a whole into consideration. Rhapsody in Blue is much better than this song, but I'd still rather listen to this song than Rhapsody. At the same time you may think this is a good song, but you'd rather listen to something like Party Rock over it. It's just the difference in the generation. But I still like this more than today's crap.
@IIEvoGamingII I hope so... because I don't really think Lady Gaga and Keisha can get anywhere near the fame that Mic Fleetwood and the gang did. lol :D
My dad listened to nothing but Fleewood Mac while we were on our family reunion, and this song, and all others on that CD are forever burned in my head, and I like it!!!!
A friend of mine bought this album in 1977 and after listening to it said he hated it. I bought it from him on the spot and it still has the original vibe for me. Fleetwood Mac had two albums, "Obscured By Clouds" and "Bare Trees" before Nicks and Buckingham joined that I just could not listen to so when my friend bought this album I was skeptical but man there wasn't a bad tune on it.
generally when a person cannot love another... especially the way they are supposed to be loved.. it's because that person doesn't love themselves and usually cheaters are broken people.
