Drain the Excess battery by taking out the Power lead (If in) Take out the Battery and hold down the Power button for 60 Seconds. Now put everything back in and boot it up.
Hi disconnect the battery and power the most possible thing that will work for you is that try to open it till mother board and remove the bios battery and reconnect it after 30 seconds and re assemble it , m sure that will work for you.x
for more help you can write me on sanjeev8402003@yahoo.co.in
If you take of the casing that goes over the power button etc you can pull of more casing on the hinges and you should see a ribbon cable on one side and wires on the other. Make sure they are attached to the mobo.
3) press and hold the power button for 1 minute and then release.
4) Replace battery and plug in the power/adaptor,
5) Turn the lapto on as normal and see it it boots
[ i read that procedure on some forum , suppose to discharge statci bulid up in RAM modules]
...let me know how it goes, and if u come across a different method. Im also going to try this on my friends laptop (my friend also have same problem).
hey i listened to everyone give an explanation on this issue but i believe its a graphics issue the gpu on the board needs to be heated up cooled off add some new thermo glue and a piece of copper to keep the GPU temperture down and put it back together
have you left it on for a long period of time before? My desktop computer had been left on, then at first the mouse froze, with strange lines around it. It didn't go to the blue screen of death, it just froze. then when I turned it on, it would'nt go past the first wordy screen, which looked very strange. Anyway, the problem was that the video card gathered dust and then crashed because it was left on too long. If it happened to you, there is a high chance that is the problem. I would recommend
getting a new video card, however, the video card may have damaged other parts when it crashed. If that is so, then I would recommend getting a new computer
i think that has happened to me, my computer gets to boot up then JUST before it gets to the logg in stage it turns off, it runs fine in safe mod, Can you help? (WINDOWS XP)
if it runs in safe mode, its not the same problem; this one stops before anything, there also might by vertical lines covering the entire screen for periods. I dont' know what problem yours is, but you should be able to undo recent changes in safe mode. Or just reformat
I have the same computer, and I bought it 3 years ago. Only 8 months into owning it, and I had booting problems as well. I was in the middle of playing an online game, and I went to blue screen. And then, I kept booting it up, and it would go to Windows, and then, it'd reset itself over and over. I reformatted the comp, and it was still resetting after I finished setting up XP. It kept happening over and over until I ran CHKDSK or something, it said that XP ITSELF was corrupted.
I ended up calling Sony Technical Support, and they made me test a few things, and they determined that the S-series laptops all have a motherboard issue that requires replacement. It was probably your motherboard that needed to be replaced. Luckily, for me, Sony was well aware of this problem, and they replaced my motherboard for free, and it's been working all right since then. :)
I'm not sure if that'd be a problem. If it's been several months, Sony might require that you re-register the comp to yourself on the phone with them or something -- I don't know for sure. But I doubt that you'd have to hunt that lady down and help her make Sony get your laptop fixed.
Yeah -- call Sony. They ought to replace the motherboard in California for you for free, with free Fedex shipping. That's what happened to me three years ago. Hopefully, nothing's changed since then.
check the memory it may not be sittimg in the ram socket properly or maybe faulty ram. its common for memory to do exacly what ur laptop is doing. also the ram for ur laptop (microdimm) is very expensive
May the monitor is dead or has been disconnected inside, i suggest u bring it to a repair shop or open it up yourself if you have knowledge how to open it and check ng cabling inside.
Looks like you blew a fuse or something. Does it work with an external monitor? Take it into a repair shop, they'll be able to assess the problem much better than random people on youtube, and more importantly, actually fix it. I don't think it would be extremely hard to fix. But that really depends on what the actual problem is.

1. burn a windows xp iso on a cd.
2. put the cd into your cd drive.
3. now it will ask if you want to start the setup.
4. install it! it will work! i hope it does work
