@1:00 What does this "a lot of bollards" mean? My mother tongue is German, and I must admit that besides DWN I neverstumbled about this phrase. In this context I'd say this means something like "B*llshit" in American English but am not sure. Is this British Slang? Or Welsh? I mean, the speaker itself is from Wales as I know.
@FreebirthOne It's a play on the British phrase "boll*cks", meaning a man's testicles or balls. So yes, very similar to "bullsh*t" but more of a reference to being rubbish or nonsense e.g. "what a load of b*llocks". Interestingly, the phrase "the dog's b*llocks" instead means that something is good rather than bad, for some reason.
Otherwise, a bollard is just a short post, often on a dock for ships to be tied to.
@TheRussianGestapo Ah, yes, somethinh like this I thought. the part with b*llocks I knew (tu be honest this was my first thought hearing "bollards"), bt I didn't know that "a lot of bollards" is a play on "a lot of b*llocks" in English. Thanks for the explanation.
@WorldAccording2ME He edited it. From what I understand most of the script was written by Chris Bateman, but it all went through Pratchett and he had influence over quite a bit of it (adding or tweaking jokes, putting the Discworld spin on things, that sort of thing). Quite a lot of dialogue is ripped straight from The Discworld Companion as well.
In the credits Pratchett is credited with "Far too much interference from", so he presumably played a major role in building the story. ;)
@TheRussianGestapo Thats the only way a man could spend a night on Ankh-Morpork and awake just to know that he is lucky on have his trousers on. Its all headology. Also, Iam reading Jingo and Captain Jenkins and his ship are there.
Whoa.. now there's a sub. The 1st time I watched your vid there're only those side comments. You really knew lots of things or maybe it's me who doesn't know much. =))
"Okay. Assuming the existence of an objective, shared universe, is this the Milka?"
Yup, this is Discworld.

skeleton keys - is that a reference? Reminds me of Zelda.

@me1ne Type "skeleton key" into Wikipedia. It's an old adventure story staple. ;)

@FantocheXIII I agree! He doesn't just know what he's doing, he's doing it with no regard for what anyone thinks about what he's doing!

@FantocheXIII I'm glad to hear that my memory was correct on Jingo, then!
And there was me thinking that headology was a female thing. ;)

@CakeholeCat It is, isn't it? Blackadder the Second, methinks. Innately British, all the same.

I've always wanted to do that too. I suppose I could do it to my own videos but that would rather negate the point I suppose.
