If Microsoft can design an adventure game like Spyro, Banjo Kazooie, Rayman, Hercules, Donkey Kong, Zelda or even something like Splintercell or MGS with the same level of 'long-term' playability that has a memorable storyline and several mini-games then they will have a well-packaged product, as of right now they are wasting time designing simple overly-childish arcade style games that are frankly boring and have no depth to them.

@spearofconquest, Everything you wrote bears-no-relation to the point I was making. All the games I mentioned were examples of platform style adventure games that would be suitable for Kinect. My point is that Microsoft's partners could easily design a game like Splintercell or Metal Gear Solid that has the same level of playability and stealth movements and making use of the Kinect sensors (That is what Xbox Live customers want) not the simple games they are releasing. -- Please troll elsewhere

@apples007, I was referring to Kinectable arcade style games involving your avatar, where the graphics and gameplay are catering to the younger market as it's aimed as a family entertainment experience, not so much for the hard-core gamers. My point is that the 360/Kinect has the potential to bring us VR with graphics more like Second Life or Utopia but better, rather than cartoonish graphics, that's what people have always wanted this technology for not stupid wii-like games.

@AdamhaiderTV You have to keep in mind the time this device was released and who they were gearing to attract for the holiday season. They wanted to bring in families that is why you see the "cartonnish" style gaming thus far. Also Microsoft has embraced the hacker community to see what they can come up with for some advances that can eventually be used for hardcore gamers. It's new give it time and I am sure you will get your wish you r just gonna have to be more patient as with anything new.

@apples007, You're right indeed. I recently watched the videos on what the Microsoft Research Team are doing with the Kinect also their stereoscopic experiments and it looks promising. I still feel it's going to be several years before we really see something worth using, by that I mean realistic avatars and not Lego-sized ones that resemble The Sims.

Looks fun to me.

I think a great many of you "hardcore" gamers lost the plot and forgot why people play games, ie to have fun. Too many of you seem to get hung up on brands and being "loyal" to a certain console manufacturer be it SONY, Nintendo or Microsoft.

If you don't have Kinect, there is no need to hate on people that do and enjoy playing it. I'm sure they won't stop making your "hardcore" games anytime soon :P

Ok. It's a rail shooter. Why wouldn't you be able to play this with a Wiimote, Move, or even a dualshock? This vid showed absolutely no footage of someone actually controlling this game. This leads me to believe that they don't want to show you. The only thing this vid does is needlessly bash Nintendo and Sony. There is no need for bashing those two unless the controls in this game really suck.
