@SteveBZ69: Naw man. Crawling and trail running are slower than "racing" RC trucks. It went even slower and smoother when I put a Mamba Max esc and brushed motor in it. It was super smooth.
nice truck mabye u should try some rocks, i mean like decent size rocks in a natural envirnment withe some muck and mini truck mayhem. the looks of theis truck impress me alot and some of wat i mentioned earlier would make my jaw drop completely off my face
Thank you very much. I have made a few tweaks to it. I moved the battery longways all the way up front. Put 4 wheel steering back under it. Lots of fun to turn off and on via RC controller.
Just used some scrap thin metal and some pieces of nylon that I cut and shaped and then put velcro on body and the top of the nylon. Pause video at the start and check them out in the picture.
Never had a Wheely king. I think they are faster than a kit AX10 and jump better if you want to bash with it. But if you are going to put a crawler kit onto it, I'm pretty sure you would come out cheaper and pleased with an AX10. Only problem with AX10 is the driveshafts pop off. So if you buy one, order some AX10 Scorpion drive shaft rings and install on the shafts. I've not had a problem since. You can find good price on rings at online crawler stores. $25 for 2 trucks.
They are Savage bumpers with custom made mounts bolted to the chassis. Easy to do with most metals like aluminum, or nylon, or anything you can find and cut, shape, and file.
Damn, I tried 3 times to post but it didnt.. went with the x-trail suspension kit with internal springs for droop setup.. flex is crazy for a somewhat scale rig.
Very awesome! Looks just like the tcs x-trail chassis I just ordered for my ax10. I happen to be doing pretty much your exact setup..body and all but using more of my axial pieces. I painted my beadlocks gray and will be using the MudSlinger tires for realism. Anyway, your jeep looks great!
nice video! does anyone no if these bodies will fit on the axial ax10 rtr? i hate the body that comes on it and want the rtr because it will be my first one and don't have any experiance. also what bumper is that? i love it!
Thanks a lot! Check out my reply to previous question about the body. Bumper is an HPI Savage front & rear bumper set. I made the aluminum & nylon mounts for them.
HPI Jeep Rubicon. Yes it will fit nicely. I put it on top of my son's AX10. You will need to space the body posts out though or get some longer ones. Betty body is 6" wide. The Jeep body is 6 3/4" wide. Wheelbase is the same. You can get the Traxxas body mounts if you don't want to space the Axial's out.
was that video in slow motion?

Hi, I agree a video on the suspension setup, chassis, and especially the bumper mod would be great to see.
