Exactly! Maybe he thinks only people of IRI ar Iranian. Most of the people in IRI are dark haired, but there are some other people that are Iranian, such as Pamirians(Shughni, Wakhi, Ishkaeshem, Muni etc) , Ossetians and more others, that have blue eyed/blonde haired/green eyed/red haired people. It's like 50/50. More or less than 50% of their population is blue/green eyed with blonde/red hairs. The reason why those people kept their hair/eye color is because they live in the mountains.

Latest 2008 claims by geneticists is that the the Kalash are a people DISTINCT to Greeks, and not "descended" of them.

They are not in any way related to Europeans, but are instead a cluster group of Central Asia in their own right.

The Greek admixture in their populations is as a result of a "genetic drift" which happens from time to time in populations, as opposed to Kalash having famous "Greek origins" and ties to "Alexander".

Few months ago I was in Kalash ,I did find an old Centrel europe figure of a Double headed horse in old figures of pre Alexander era ,

Kalash make sculptures of a man sitting on a horse and if the horse rider is of Big importence he will be sitting on a Horse with two necks four front legs these are sculptures mostly taken away by the british in 1880 1890 to british museum ,

One remarkable sculpture is in German museum ,I held workshops in 1980 and 1989 to Revive old Wood carvings of Kalash
