A few Tips for this kid and all newbies.

1. Make your parents buy high octane gas 91

2. Use a quallity pre-mix oil...not the cheap stuff, or ANYTHING that will go in a weedeater. My family prefers Maxima Formula K2 2-Stroke Oil. It is High RPM formula. We mix 32:1.

3.Clean air filter often, let dry thoroughly.

4. Allow bike to warm up until cylinder head is hot to the touch. Do NOT rev, or put a load on the engine at all until warm.

5. Love your bike. Clean it after every ride.

Wow people- strong commets! Water cooled 2 strokes should be idled before run hard, this is because the coolant and cylinder are cold while the pistion is warming up fast and expanding faster than the cylinder, if run hard (free rev isnt as bad as you think) it can expand to the point where it contacts the cylinder and wear will occur, almost always on the exahust port. but hey, a new pistion is $99 and the rod, berrings and more expensive parts are not really effected unlike a 4 stroke engine

HEY, just to let you know, there is more throttle response and horsepower to be found in that engine! Try looking into the way the carburater is jetted, there is more air-flow and fuel to be mixed there for greater horsepower! Talking from experience here....

no actually, when you ride it a lot, it will get tired, and your topend will start to go, and it will run nasty for about 20 minutes then it will go. this was his first 2 stroke anyways, he went from a kfx400 to this, he wasnt used to it. but anyways even from revving it, it runs mint, he hasnt had one problem with it ever. and this was video was taken in march, theres still snow on the ground in maine in march. it didnt start first kick cause its COLD out
