The police was using to much force. The correct thing to do is to evacuate area and hold perimiter with armed police. SWAT to hold back whilst a negotiator went forward and talks to suspect. Only when the negociator is attacked is when SWAT moves in and arrests suspect. If suspect has a firearm and dosent comly they should use deadly force however when armed with anything else they should look to engage with tazer as LAST resort!!!!

Regardless of the circumstances of this video,I no longer have much respect left for the police. Nearly all of my experiences of the police are bad. They seldom tell the truth and fail to uphold the law when they should. Instead they go around arresting innocent people and stitching them up. When they have no proof youv'e done something wrong they will make things up. Failing that they will assume youv'e committed an offence anyway and issue you with an harassment notice.

Notice their is no video before or after this, as per usual, he could have easily been attacking officers, he could have been sprayed and still refused to back down, and so the tazer was therefore deployed. The IPCC in this incident found that the officers acted according to their duties thereof. End of story. The guy shouldnt have still resisted after being tazered, let alone three times, its his own fault.

It's called a distraction strike. Prior to this footage, the man had just hospitalized a police officer. The Tazer is meant exactly for situations like this. It's effects last no more than a few seconds, and it is used in order to gain compliance, which this violent alleged drunk continually resisted.

The police was using to much force. The correct thing to do is to evacuate area and hold perimiter with armed police. SWAT to hold back whilst a negotiator went forward and talks to suspect. Only when the negociator is attacked is when SWAT moves in and arrests suspect. If suspect has a firearm and dosent comly they should use deadly force however when armed with anything else they should look to engage with tazer as LAST resort!!!!

Regardless of the circumstances of this video,I no longer have much respect left for the police. Nearly all of my experiences of the police are bad. They seldom tell the truth and fail to uphold the law when they should. Instead they go around arresting innocent people and stitching them up. When they have no proof youv'e done something wrong they will make things up. Failing that they will assume youv'e committed an offence anyway and issue you with an harassment notice.

Notice their is no video before or after this, as per usual, he could have easily been attacking officers, he could have been sprayed and still refused to back down, and so the tazer was therefore deployed. The IPCC in this incident found that the officers acted according to their duties thereof. End of story. The guy shouldnt have still resisted after being tazered, let alone three times, its his own fault.

1) Initially only 2 officers on scene
2) Male has history of violence against officers and the public
3) there were concerns he may have been armed after previous incident.
4) Strong verbal commands were made to him several times by the officer who tasered him, and by officers attempting to cuff him
5 ) He still would not comply hence being striked in the arm around 3 times. Perfectly reasonable, proportionate and legal. Case Closed

Everyone is jumping on the bandwagon of fuck the police but if your car gets nicked they're the ones you call, if you are getting beaten up by a bunch of lads or raped down an alley they're the guys you want to come round the corner! It seems that everyone is saying the guy on the ground was a fucking saint, I find it hard to believe that with a crown that big that they would have done anything that wasn't in the book! they wont, the IPPC is useless, i was a an innocent victim of police harassment and despite having all the evidence that the police lied, denied me a solicitor and factual evidence proving my case outright theres nothing i can do..all the IPPC usually do, unless the case causes widespread public outrage, they cover it up by sending the complaint you've made to a friend colleague police office of the guy who abused you..sick and corrupt complaints system that does nothing! cunts!!riots in future

Lots of ignorant & hysterical rubbish being posted here. The officer punching the man's arm is doing so in order to deaden it so he can cuff him without risk of breaking his arm. It's called a distraction strike. Prior to this footage, the man had just hospitalized a police officer. The Tazer is meant exactly for situations like this. It's effects last no more than a few seconds, and it is used in order to gain compliance, which this violent alleged drunk continually resisted.

hi julie, i agree with what ur saying, and if hes done wrong he gets what he deserves, i just dont get why they would tazer some one thats already on the ground and has been tazered all ready, there was no need. it is over used, i have seen plenty of drunken thugs arested without tazers who have been more violent than this guy.

This is sick! This is my dad's friend! And I saw him today and he is in an horrendous state! From being punched, kicked, tasered and pepper spray! He had to be taken into hospital for scans!
