  • ContourHD is possibly the best sports cam I've ever used!

  • Go pro better

  • You have your own air strip?

  • starts flyin at 5:25 if anyone wants to skip to it

  • The plane is

Massive it must have a lot of thrust to pull it up

  • That was awsome!!!! That was the best arial video I've seen on Ytube!!!! Thanks for posting, and keep flying!!!!!!1

  • nice job

  • WOW I really Want to build one can you do a blog or give me instructions on what i would need to build a Awsome machine like yours

    Cheers iappman09

  • thats so awesome! i have been using this camera on my airplane but i cant seem to get the wind noise to go away. how did you do it?

  • have you tred landing it hot looks like it stalling right befor you land.

  • Wonderfull HD filming on top of the foam RC plane. Colors and rendering came out pretty good. Watched the whole movie and enjoyed it. Camera doesn't seem to have problems with high frequency vibrations from the engines.

  • Thanks for the comment pvdk! So far i really like the little HD helmet cam. Id does film nicer than the other little cameras i have. I hope to test it more in the future , so please stay tuned. Thanks again!

  • @pvdk no vibrations cos i guess its a pretty heavy plane. how much it weights btw anyone?

  • Great plane! I love the looks and the capeabilities / storage room it has!

Interesting to see some countour HD inflight shots - I recently got the GoPro Hero HD - which I'm very happy with - go check out my videos - there'll be a Sailplane based GoPro vid up in full length soon

    Greetings from Austria,

    RCSchim

  • Thanks YTschim for the cool comment! I also considered the GO Pro Hero HD, but ended up getting this camera. Cool HD videos on your channel too! Thanks again,

    Paul

  • That was a very cool video. I really enjoyed that. I've used the FlycamOne and the Grayson Hobby cams, but the ContourHD is heads above them. The Jupiter flies really well, very stable.

It makes great platform for videos.

  • Thanks for the cool comment GRS15720! I really like the CountourHD camera so far. I hope it holds up good, as I have broke about 3 other cameras already. Thanks too for the nice words about the Jupiter. I was not sure how it would fly as i was building it, but luckily it turned out to fly well. Thanks for watching!

    Paul

  • Hey guys, thanks for the kind words about flying in front of the Jupiter. MAN THAT WAS HARD!! We'll just have to do it some more. It was great to see in the air, and an honor to be an escort.

  • Thanks for the comment Tim! You did do some awesome flying out there. I think i got your inverted low pass on video too. i'll try and post that sometime too. Again awesome work on your video too. Good to see you posting them. hopefully we can get more Air-to-Air footage next time we are out. maybe i'll put a couple more cameras on the Jupiter too.

  • wow! Very nice plane. It gets better every time! That camera is very clear for being so small. You should stick a couple gyros on the plane too!...haha

    It flies great guys.

  • Thanks for the comment slacker3442! it is a fun plane to fly. I'm really liking the new camera too. hopefully it will last a while longer than all the other cams i've had so i can keep sharing some in the air video. Haa haa, gyros. maybe I can drop some out of the cargo bay, LOL. Anyway, have a great Thanksgiving holiday!

  • that was way cool

  • Thanks daveyedgar! I appreciate the kind words!

  • Man!! That is a great flying plane!!

  • Thank you very much jbs127845! I appreciate the comment and the support! i plan on getting more footage of the jupiter in the coming weeks.

  • Paul, it was a very good landing for no flaps! Hey man, keep up the great work!!! Tell Frank I said wassup as well!!! Happy Thanksgiving to you guys if I don't talk to you b4 then.

    C-Poppy

  • Thanks C-Poppy! Have a great Turkey Day weekend too. Can't wait for the extra days off!

    Paul

  • That plane seems to perform really good and it`s also nice to look at.Good onboard video.

  • Thanks baumanfamily! I'm really enjoying the Jupiter, so far its been a fun plane. i hope soon to get into the KF airfoil experiments with it.

  • Awesome man, looks good and flies even better ;-)

  • Thank you Skydive4ever, I appreciate the comment!

  • wow you bought one of thouse 300 dollar cameras? I was thinking of one of them but very pricy..

    GET OUT and FLY!!

    BruceM (BFOAMY)

  • Thanks for watching BFoamy. the camera is a bit exspensive, but so far i like the way it works. I've already gone through about 4 other cheaper cameras and got tired of it. My FlyCamOne2 broke, my Gumstick cam was a piece of garbage, and a couple other no name cams. Figured if I spend a bit more, maybe it will be better quality, higher res and last longer. I hope anyway. Also the 135 degree wide angle lens of the ContourHD 1080P cam is a big plus that not many other cameras have. Thanks again!

  • Ya I have been threw a few of the cheap cameras as well. That is why i was looking at the VholdR ContourHD. I realy would like to see how there 720 and there standerd camera holds up to there 1080p.. Your video looks great but at my budget if the 720 looks great as well it would save me 100 or more bucks..

Thanks again for the great videos.

    GET OUT and FLY!!

    BruceM (BFOAMY)

  • That is the camera for me. I've been looking for a good quality onboard RC cam for my racing events. Cool find.

  • Thanks for teh comment Gutboy17! So far I'm pretty happy with the camera. It is a little pricey, but seemed to be one of the only small HD cameras with a nice wide angle lens. i did add a link in the video sidebar to more info on the camera. they do make a couple versions of this camera too that are lower priced than this model. Thanks again!

  • Great video Pauly. The Jupiter is awesome! The camera is pretty cool too. Who was flying or should I say Buzzing around you heheheh. Keep up the good work.

  • Thanks Mike-O! yeah, the jupiter is a fun plane to fly. the plane buzzing the jupiter was mostly our friend Tim. Frank gave him his old skyfighter after it crashed. Tim fixed it and it flies great again. Also Frank buzzed me with the bullet plane once or twice. i told them to try and fly close since i had the camera on. Hopefully in the coming weeks i can start doing some of the airfoil tests and more on-board videos. thanks again . Hope all is well back home in Cali!

  • so u didnt crash it after all...cant wait 4 all ur experiments 2 get under way...hav u clocked it at more than 74 clicks yet ? lol

    BTW nice cam

    Brat

  • Haa haa LOL. yes it is still in piece and flying. I was just delayed from the bad weather and busy schedule. i hope the Jupiter lasts a while and we get some good flights out of her. Haven't broke the 74 clicks yet, LOL. Thanks for the comment and watching!

  • That HD camera is very nice! You guys really know how to make a good plane!

  • Thank you very much clubRCflight. i know we have so much more to learn as it goes with planes. it is nice though when a plane comes together and flies well. Thanks again for your support clubRCflight!

  • Paul,

XXXcellent job on your plane man!!! Your landing looked so easy!!! Are you using flaps? I would imagine it would help land the plane easier but anyways good flying man as always!!! Keep up the great work!!!

  • hey CPoppy! Thanks for the cool comment! I did not us the flaps yet, LOL i keep forgetting too. I do have them programmed in. I bet it would make for even better, slow landings. Thanks again CPoppy! i can't wait to see your planes flying too. I hope the work good for you. Keep up the good work on your music too!

  • Happy Thanksgiving , Great video !

I love the ariel shots , can you maybe make a video about how you did the twin motor setup?

This is still my favorite RCFF plane !

  • Thanks for the comment RCFLIGHTHELP! Happy Turrkey Day to you too! I will try and do a dual motor write up on the blog soon. In the meantime you can look at our friend Jacques youtube channel at jacquesone100. He did a video of a dual motor set up after we helped him with it. he did a good job on it.

    thanks again!

  • Clearly one of the best in flight camera video quality I have seen yet. I def. want to see the specs and price of that camera. Great plane and flight! Awesome job Paul!!!!

  • Thanks youtwoba! I will try and do a blog write up and video review of the camera in the near future. It is a little costly, 300 bucks. But I plan on using it often on may things other than RC too. Good work on your Multiplex Twister too! i like the retracts. i need to experiment with some retracts too in the future. Thanks again!

  • That was damn' cool. 5*

My first foam plane is still under construction - want to do the maiden flight in march and build it in december/january ....

  • Thanks CH0Rigi! Cool on your first plane. I hope it turns out good for you and flies great. i hope you can get some video of it too and share it with us all! thanks again!

  • OUTSTANDING! That was spectacular footage. Very smooth. The Jupiter is a wonderful aircraft that you've designed. I'm extremely happy for you. It actually looks like a real aircraft in flight. Amazing.

  • Thanks Dickeroo! i think our project is coming along good. it will be fun to see how she performs with the different airfoils. Thanks for all your help!

    Paul

  • wow nice onboard cam

  • Thanks rockyFLYER! i really like this camera. Not just for the HD but also for the wide angle lens.

  • is that the skyfighter in formation with the jupiter

  • yes Mikey, that is Frank's old Skyfighter. He gave it to Tim and it was Tim Flying it in the video. Also i think Frank and his bullet plane for a little.

  • Great flight plus the cam on it took a great video and i'm looking forward to your review of the cam as i still haven't got one that i'm happy with which isn't going to be to big but that looks just righ ;-) 5*

  • Thanks startazz! it was fun to fly the Jupiter again. I'll try and put a review together for the camera as soon as i can test it a little more. Its a little exspensive but it is going to be used alot i plan to use it on the rc planes, but also on my motorcycle rides, hiking and mountain biking. i think it will come in handy.

  • wow if you built one of these designed for camera work only with multiple cameras wow you could market that as a very diversital tool for lad servayours , real-estate military recon, etc.

  • Thanks for the comment altops! it would be neat to make a plane loaded with cameras to survay land or otherwise. i was even thinking you could put a POV camera on a plane and let the customer or client film and video what they want to while in the air.

  • Those soft foam tires are crap!

If you leave a plane parked on the ground for even a little bit of time, you get a flat spot!

  • Haa haa, Yeah the soft tires aren't much good for landing on pavement or for heavy planes. Anyway thanks for the comment and watching cyberteque!

  • when are you going to piggy back a space shuttle? with the sheer size of the jupiter it shouldn't be a problem.

  • Thanks for the comments shaneeeeak! I may have to build a shuttle for it in the future. that would be fun.

  • as usual....quite an impressive job! 5*

  • WOW what an impressive flight, and what an impressive camera. The video quality is InsAne. Almost perfect :-)

    Greets, iT

  • Thanks insAneTunA! I am happy with how she is flying now. I made a few minor adjustments to the CG. i thin k the new camera will be nice for filming on-board video. Thanks again iT!

  • Very cool Paul!! what a cool place to fly you have out there...really wish i could come over one day and fly with you dudes!..Sweet,sweet footage man!....want my self a cam like that too :) and great flying...5* all the way!!! cool vid!

    Jacques

  • hey thanks Jacques! We would love to have you out here flying with us someday my rcfoamfighters brother! Hope someday we can make it out to the Netherlands too. I was in the Netherlands way back in my Army days. Beautiful country and friendly people. Many beautiful women too! LOL. Anyway hope the weather gets good for you soon and we can see the Double Barrel Flying! Thanks Again Jacques!

  • Looking forward to your review of that hd camera. Also your flying group is growing!

  • Thank you my2cents0! I will try and do a good review of this camera and possibly some other cameras here in the near future. Thanks for watching!

  • very nice!

  • Thanks for the comment and watching xwingfan!

  • love the footage where it looks as if Frank's jets are escorting the Jupiter on a bombing mission. i was wondering if you were also going to do speed tests between the KFm3 vs Clark-Y (carrying the same payload weight). This may sound stupid, but i also became very curious to see which airfoil could carry the most payload while flying inverted-LOL. rating this plane just 5 stars doesn't do it justice- it's waaaay up there on my unofficial list of most awsome rc planes ever

  • Thanks Wildhover! i will try and do some speed tests with both airfoils. We'll see about the inverted weightlifting , LOL. The other planes were mostly Tim Flying Frank's old skyfighter and also a little of Frank Flying his Bullet plane. I'm hoping we can get some more air to air footage in the future. oh, good work on your F-117 videos too Ken! Keep it up the good work! Thanks again!

    Paul

  • holy damn i love that PLANE!!!! its awesome man i want one lol. how aout using a water tank(bottle) with dripping water out the back to see how far it takes to take off 5*as you guys always deserve from everybody, i cant get over just how much i like that plane id love all that empty room in some of my planes

  • Thanks Mikey! hmmm, i'll have to think about the dripping water idea. may be cool to do. Some day when i have time i'll try and get some plans together for the Jupiter. then you can build your own! Can't wait to see your new planes flying too! i hope they fly great for you!
