man, these events are so awesome. just watching artists push the limits beyond what you expect to see in 8 hours! dedication, skill, patience, mastery!
This is some of the best footage Ive seen of hte event thanks for posting this vid. It must be nice to live >>where it's at for glassblowers, essentially the mecca of glassblowing in this era (the U.S. North West coast.
thank you for the nice words regarding the footage, this would not have been possible at this production level, had a good friend Kevin England (hi22a) and my wife had not provided additional camera work throughout the event. I cannot believe how much people are willing to help to try to bring more people to appriciate this art form!
man, I would be passionate about glass no matter where I lived, but it is incredible to be in the middle of the current heart of glass art. a few decades ago, it was definately around seattle and offhand with dave, but flameworking is taking the center of the glass art movement right now. the intricate level of color work possible seems to really pull in people. which I can not complain about. I love flameworking and glass, and want to be a part of bringing it forward in any way I can!-)
every try google chat? I have intstant messaging on my phone, but need to get in a better habbit of actually using it.-) I am still so jeleous! did anything jump out at you while you were there?
thanks bud.
