  • Anton should be on the greatest drummers ever on N 1 or 2 he is simply amazing

  • This is when drum solos were exciting, the tech. today is better than ever, drums are made better than ever & way more drummers are now more skilled / talented than ever, but I get bored, even half assed drummers back then with big kits big hair big sound were more exciting to watch..hard to believe this is the Anton of Letterman... frikkin animal

  • @tjfreak Man, I couldn't disagree more. Can't see how this is interesting after more than 20 seconds. Anyone can drink 10 five hour engergies and just go crazy. Anton is so much better than this. To me a great solo has to have some groove, some creativity, some different parts to it to accentuate other parts...this is like white noise. Just my opinion, though.

  • Was this at the Beacon Theatre? If so I was there,White Lion and Y & T opened up for Frehely's Comet.Anton was rocking that night.

  • @wannabenj Cool that you mention that - I saw that same tour at a theater in Providence RI, I was a long time fan of Ace (in Kiss) and Y&T. At the time White Lion had not even had their first single. And Anton Fig blew my mind. He sounded like he was playing a double bass even though it was a single. I never forgot it.

  • Fig's drumming on "Wiped Out" is pretty amazing.

  • When I was a kid Alice Cooper and Spider played here. Spider was doing a meet and greet so i went to the record store bought the album and got them all to sign it, pose for photos, etc. I had never heard of Anton Fig til then, Same day I bought Kiss Unmasked and had no idea til years later that the guy that played drums on the record was the same guy that signed my Spider record

  • Sweeet! The autographed Spider record got my attention! That is so cool. I had the record at one time also but it got ruined. If you ever wanna part with it...hahaha...just kdding! I first heard Anton on Ace's solo record when he was with Kiss...used to play over and over his drum fills in Rip it Out...not sure if he's on any records before that...any body else know?

  • according to his discography, the ace frehley cd was the first thing he was on
