  • The roots of the dot com rise and fall and semi rise again!

  • JUST KIDDING CLOTHES provided by J.C. Penney

  • I have a few questions: what is Pat's last name, 'cos I didn't get it, and how did he design Atlantis when Wikipedia says Dennis Koble did? And what dragon is he making? A Prototype to Dragonfire?

  • @MrColuber At around the 5:00 mark, the narrator says it's "Wing War".

  • Very cool!!!!!

  • anyone want to bet the IMAGIC designer they featured probably ended up in the unemployment line soon after this aired

  • wouldn't it be something if they had a beam gun where it could beam them into the digital world. :D

  • I actually realized that Imagic is now owned by Activision.

  • And then they laid of half the staff that year and eventually folded in 3 years!

  • @MagikGimp your forgetting the IPO imploded due to the video game crash of 1983-4

  • I love how the old monitors are identical to the Fallout 3 terminals :-)

  • holy fuck that black chick and that dude called mark are the disturbing kidsi have ever seen holy fuck they are ugly

  • I like how a lot of the things mentioned are as relevant now as they were in 1983. Twenty-seven years and we're still applying a lot of the same methods. (Though with FAR less assembly. ;) )

  • Every video should incorporate a random redneck juggler in it..

  • Guillermo del Toro @ 2:43 !

  • Oh man, I loved the 80s.

  • Wow! We're all very lucky that this segment was preserved all these years. You can learn a whole lot just by looking at what is in the office.. the old technology.. and methods.

  • Im not sure what you mean by livevideo. It was just another video here on Youtube that was in several parts

  • I came across a documentery that a TV show did about Imagic that was also from the 80's. It was cut into 4 parts and was all about the original creation of Atlantis and everything in between to when they debut it at the CES. I havent been able to find those vids on here since! Has anyone else seen them???

  • Is it the one on livevideo? I think i seen it there lately while searching for videogame vids.

  • Old post I know, but yes, I've seen the Imagic documentary you mentioned.

The name of the show was "Enterprise", if that helps to find it. I think it got pulled off of youtube. It was an old business show apparently.

  • I think I know the guy who was juggling. wow.

  • *sniff* I miss Imagic. Such a brilliant and innovative company.

  • Thanks for posting this clip; as a child of the 70's and 80's, I grew up on the old Atari 2600 and Colecovision video game systems and eat this kind of nostalgia up!
